same on kashan with both sides, i always head to the enemy's first bunker flag.
the further you go at first the more space you have to fall back and the less space you have to clear out
flags are just focal points to ensure that the battle has some rhyme and reason
in terms of gameplay flags are important in particular circumstances
1) you want to cap them out
2) you want to prevent them capping you out
if neither applies at the time then taking the best ground and killing as much as possible is the strategy to go for
but if either 1 or 2 starts becoming an issue again, the flags are all that matter
personally I like a very strong defence, 1-2 squad strength and the rest of the team to kill as much as possible, not necessarily going near a flag unless the enemy are there.
ambushing supply lines on maps like kozelsk is another example of how killing is just as or more important than flags.
But at the end of the day, its a fluctuating balance between flags and kills.
