Bad Caches - report them here

Post by Rudd »

Yes, those bad naughty caches...you know the ones.

The caches that are impossible to defend, or impossible to attack, or buged in some way.

e.g. the caches found at the top room of the Afghan caves.

I know a few have been reported, and I'll be copying those posts in to this thread as I find them.

However they are all hidden in other threads right now, so I need somewhere to compile the list - thus here we are.

Please post up bad cache details, be as specific as possible, vague descriptions are a waste of space.

Thanks for the help guys, without lots of clear and rational feedback from our playerbase we'd be half blind.

Don't know if it has been fixed yet, but there was a cache on iron ridge that spawned in a small shack in the forest just south of insurgent main which was still out of combat zone for the russian team.

MAP: Iron Ridge

Problem (e.g. cannot defend, sunk in to the ground etc): Inside Insurgent Dome of Death

Cache location (Grid/description/screenshot/combination) : B3kp3, small shack

Is it buggy or just bad? Like many al basrah caches in plain fields?

buggy or bad, report both. I may not always agree, but I want the reports so that caches I may have missed/not considered will be considered.

Stoickk's post is the ideal format, I've fixed most of those caches now.

I know there is a cache spawn at the broken tank, south of the VCP in Al Basrah. I don 't have a screenshot though.
We are staying up!

Good initiative Rudd! hats off to you :) Sorry if this is spam but just wanted to say it. Might not be the most fun work but it will help Insurgency mode :D

Kokan has some bad ones 2. I'll see if I can take some screens when I get a game there.

Template

MAP:
Karbala

Problem (e.g. cannot defend, sunk in to the ground etc):
There is a cache in the freshly crashed Blackhawk wreck, north of the Insurgent mosque.

Cache location (Grid/description/screenshot/combination):
Unknown, not hard to find.

---------------

Template

MAP:
Karbala

Problem (e.g. cannot defend, sunk in to the ground etc):
There is a cache blatantly in the open space in an alleyway off the street north-east of the Black Hawk wreck, near the static building which has the 'arch way' style cut out of it. It can be easily raped by a passing Humvee, no Insurgent would hide their stuff there.

Cache location (Grid/description/screenshot/combination):
About to go out but later I'll get the grids for both unless you can find them.

Excellent idea btw.

Karbala has several caches that haven't been updated to the increased number of spawn-able weapons so the extras tend to spawn inside the walls of the buildings. For reference you can pick these weapons if you stand next to the wall and hammer G to it but it there is no way of knowing and causes issues if there are extra kits on the caches.

Anyway examples (I'll think of more later):
------------------------------------------

MAP: Karbala

Problem: Pickup weapons, RPK & PKM, spawn inside wall / not all visible.

Cache location: L5K2, green room behind roller shutter doors.

------------------------------------------

MAP: Karbala

Problem:
Pickup weapon, RPK, spawns inside wall / not visible.

Cache location: K7K1, raised area above street by initial car spawn.

Albasrah at the main intersection south of the VCP . .. behind the "destroyed" tank a cache some times pops up . . kind of a useless location
Image

ARCHER in the small cave South of the Airfield i cant remember the exact location . . . but on rare ocasions a Double cache location pops up . .

Is that a screen from .9? Cause that really shouldn't happen according to the new cache spawn logic :/

Kokan, these 12 blue caches are too close to US main.

Gaza, These 8 caches are imho too hard as they are behind the Hamas main.

The first one you posted is the same as one I posted on the first page, and is already fixed. Also, grid coords will help Rudd out quite a bit. :)

Hes editing them through BFeditor, keypads wouldn't be nessecary if Vege provided screenies with ample area to find.
