Is it a new install or an upgrade.

Your motherboard bios shouldn't be effected unless it loads is from your hard drive which is doubtful.

If you already have an operating system installed, you will need to format the c: partition to make room for windows 7. Back up all of your files, insert the disk, and select the c: drive (after choosing 32/64bit etc), choose format, then click install to c: drive.

Generally, No you do not have to wipe your hard drive. If your switching from 32/X64 or vice versa then yes but otherwise no. The windows 7 installation will upgrade your current OS.

Yes, anOS install will 99% of the time NOT effect your Bios

Okay, 7 is a little more ram thirsty so make sure you have at least 2 GB of ram. Most people only have one hard drive its okay.
