Very good system of targeting, DEVs.

Explaining the position of a target to a squad member in this weeks game, nearly got us killed by the target.

Now if I can get the chevron to appear on my compass!

125m is just too short for me, i have noticed some squad leaders not using the marker system because its pointless after that distance

It actually isn't pointless as the chevron on the compass gives you the direction, all you need to do is to confrim, 1st floor, 2nd floor, stairs, roof, mountain top, bottom...

we can't repaint only 1 of a type of building, they all get changed, and often other types get changed too since htey use the same texture pallets.

but I register your point, small props that are really easy to see like brightly coloured washing outside a balcony would be a nice addition.

We just can't go overboard on that as it increases performance load, but its a good idea to give differentiation.

But in real life you can use your hands etc to point in a direction.
The PR marker is there to simulate this.

No, but this is the way the actual pr marker works.
It points on a direction on your compass, like you could do in reallife.
I really like the new marker system, no need to change it imo.

I'd be for that. Instead of degrees Just NSEW would do for me (with some small detail inbetween).

I'm sick of squad members saying 'ENEMY AT 213 DEGREES' etc. It gets a bit confusing for me after about 180, lol. Although I am getting better at maths.

So yeah, I agree with you!
Thats true, but irl you have countermeasures for an apaches 10 miles away, while in game you dont. Making every aspect of modern warfare realistic would take a lot of the sport out of the game. Take the A10. IRL an A10 Cruises over a combat zone and unloads on everything his sensors lock on. An A10 would clean Kashan of enemy armor in 5 min.

And tanks with ERA would be a true ***** to try and kill :P

If PR was completely realistic then there's a chance that one side would be better than another, and would therefore negatively affect gameplay.

Cant find my car? shut up moron.

If you play Muttrah City all the time like i do, it makes much more sense to have a marker everyone can see past 125m.

Many things would make sense if PR only had one map.
A journalist, interviewing a US marines sniper, asked what he felt when he shot a terrorist.

The sniper shrugged, and replied. "Recoil."

Honestly if you play Muttrah all the time and can't explain something without a floating marker I think you need to think about that and solve it yourself.
