so ive been trying to get the normandy imported into 3dmax for my personal use, everything goes well except for the decals on the ship then this happens
it looks fine in the viewport, but when i render there is a white box.
is this because i imported the texture as a bitmap and what should i use so this doesnt happnen?

Without certainty I'd say it's indeed the format, since bitmap doesn't have an alpha channel afaik. If that was the cause of the problem, importing the texture in a format that has an alpha channel (PNG f.e.) could fix the problem.
well seems i have fixed it, had to set "None" in alpha source

where the decals go, they are actually polygons there, which are the same size of the decal
