xam I had the same problem in my huey, we went out of bounds and it unlinked.

They might need to add some audio notifier so you know when you are unlinked.

On a personal note, I'd prefer the next version of mumble not allow talking regardless of what button is pushed when the person is unlinked. Admittedly it would take away the ability to spam between rounds about how awesome that rpg kill was and whatnot, but the benefits infinitely outweigh the costs imo.
In this perfect world of mine though, if you were program/server muted and you tried to talk, an audible click or sound would notify the user that they're unable to speak. "Chk..chk" like trying to fire an empty clip/mag. This is so that pilots/whatever know when they've been unlinked and people aren't just ignoring them
