Squad names won't reserve an asset, only the commander can do that.
Okay, sorry about that...

It's impossible to keep up with a dozen different rule sets for a dozen different servers, and with (at least that night) 95% of the people on your server assuming that is the standard for PR as a whole, it isn't surprising that arguably the best server in PR doesn't mandate that rule set to prevent the goat-rodeo of uncoordinated random vehicle use.

I guess it's up to the players to police their own in that regard.

PS: I did read your rules, and I will make sure to avoid an errant report in the future.

Thank for taking the time to read them.

Actually, that is exactly why our server has this rule. anyone can make a sqd named after any particular asset and do very bad in it. Now if you have a CO, he can then assign the asset to someone else better suited. On other servers one sqd takes all the assets, which in my opinion is not smart. Also if you made a CAS/jets/apache sqd at the start 99% of times the first made sqd is the one that flies it. out of respect the first named sqds get the asset first, not out of any rule.

That makes complete sense, you have changed my perspective on this, thank you for taking the time to explain (something you've probably already explained 50x haha)

As far as becoming a supporting member for TG, when you sign up do you just enter your hash or BF2 ID and then you are automatically given a spot on the server? The 2 reserved slots are for admins then?

Once you are a supporting member you need your BF2 PID in your profile. Those 2 slots are needed so supporting members can join anytime. If that happens, the longest playing non supporting member gets kicked by a script.

Here is our FAQ entry on supporting membership.

As much as I HATE being kicked from the server by supporting members (I actually stopped playing on TG because of this, as three different squads that were amazing were destroyed by this) - But the server is just too good to pass this up, even it it is almost the cost of a decent MMORPG... I get more enjoyment out of PR than any MMORPG at about a 100:1 ratio... so, the cost is justified for me at least.

Update the server please. I updated my PR and there are really no full servers to play on :? ??:

Tactical Gamer's server is the best Project Reality server of all time. The only issues I have are the constant crashing, "Your client lost connection" at the end of the round and a TINY maplist. Most other servers do not crash as much as TG. Im requesting your sort this out... is the servers HDD dying?

One of my favourite servers, but would you ever consider the idea of making mumble mandatory like PRTA and Sisu?

Thank you, much appreciated.
As for mumble, no, we are not going to make mumble mandatory. Various reasons. One of which is that mumble can cause problems to some users and some just dont want the constant talking in their heads. Main point is that we want everyone to enjoy our server whether you use mumble or not. Off course using mumble gives teamwork a big boost, hence why we support it.

Great games tonight, with some fantastic teamwork, intense firefights, interesting choice of map layers and well balanced teams - and on top of that a large mumble population.

Would stil be playing but ping of 1000 due to the pigeons outside flapping their wings on the telephone wire, isn't much fun :P

Definitely some good rounds last night. Had my first round on Shijia Valley. Love the map!

My SQ did some work on Shiija last night.

Including the APC we were like 45-0 for 8 guys. It was a well executed push.

Ya know...if you would switch to your speakers with an in-line amp and put it in your window closest to where the birds are, I'm sure they will think twice....

....and then I turn on the TV hear that in your neck of the woods the Swat Team surrounds your place thinking you are having one hell of a war in your neighbors!

:p :p :p

Make sure you are playing a map with your country's faction...that would make it more EPIC!

Tactical Gamer runs a great U.S based server.

The gameplay on here has been the most consistent and hopping on mumble and working with other squads to achieve objectives is very fulfilling. The quality of players is generally very good and the admins do a good job keeping things in order.

I find myself playing here the most now and really need to become a supporting member instead of server clicking until I see 61/64 :D

Keep up the good work and I look forward to many more battles.

Yes, kashan 32 is played more often, however we do switch to jet layers. Its jet layer now even.
