Now one question come to my mind,Is this really allowed in Most of server????
Someone plz answer me......I am confused.
Actually that's the server of ours,I am an admin. So i should really consider add this in server rule and bannish those joker for permantSmiddey723 wrote:no, your obviously playing in the wrong servers if this is allowed
If your going down, you have no control to direct yourself to the tank. If you have control your not going down yet and should try RTB.vistamaster01 wrote:My moral is this: If you chopper is going down, There is NO way you will be able to RTB it, so just do a little allah ackbar. russia style...
Partially true. If you have been severely damaged (black smoke, for example) and your hull is 'bleeding' (slowly losing more health, up to the point the chopper starts to burn) you will still have full control over your chopper. If you are far away from your main base and guestimate you cannot RTB within the period of the chopper catching fire and exploding in mid-air.. why not?gazzthompson wrote:If your going down, you have no control to direct yourself to the tank. Jolly , most servers do not allow suicide tactics.
I would slow down, lose altitude and land/crash land.Nixy23 wrote:Partially true. Why not when it can be quite effective tactic?Nixy23 wrote:I do not think it is a fair tactic, but it is better than doing nothing. However, using an undamaged chopper as a guided projectile, no way that's going to be tolerated.
It falls under the 'wasting' asset rules of most servers, since the asset in question (transport helicopter) is not used in it's designed role. While killing an enemy tank might be beneficial, losing the primary means of transport for your infantry in a large map is/can be a severe setback.Lugi wrote:Why not when it can be quite effective tactic?
and that is why you fail.Lugi wrote:Why not when it can be quite effective tactic?
Because a helicopter is not designed to do this in real life and no Army would clear the use of a helicopter like so (without some ridiculously contrived circumstance). Its like the incendiary grenade of old.Lugi wrote:Why not when it can be quite effective tactic?
cant agree more. If people thinks that using a 10 mio.$ helicopter as a turtle missile is okay then they should rethink why they are playing project reality, and not Vbf2.Mikemonster wrote:
Any exploit can be excused by saying 'for the good of the team' etc. But at the end of the day it's just an exploit - Play vBF2 if you want that (there are loads, it was basically my play style to abuse Claymores, noob tubes, and Friendly Fire Off settings).
I dont like that tactic!!And that's aganist this game ,isn't it???[R-DEV]Rudd wrote:its a stupid tactic which usually screws your team as they rely on the helo's supply crates and transportation
any reputable server bans such an intentional action as its unrealistic and detrimental to gameplay
between your tanks, TOW armed APCs, HATs, TOWs and CAS you have plenty of tools to realistically destroy the enemy armour.
want to ram Helicopters into stuff? go play vbf2.
