Im rarely a medic, but when i am, im pretty decent, im not THE absolute best, but i achieve more with teamwork and thinking than most of the excellent "patch thowers" do.
Sometimes i do AR, and i do it properly. I can do it properly because i tell someone to cover my back while i lay down sustained fire. Sometimes im a normal rifleman. And do what i have to do with the best of my abilities, and those arent too shabby. I am the one who covers the AR, and medic.
Mostly i am SL. I am not THE best, but i use my squadmembers in cohesion to make my squad THE best.
So, whatever your tactic is, without someone backing you up, its gonna be hard. It depends on the situation.
Oh, also, i have a habit of telling my squad, especially AR, to focus on that critically wounded guy i just killed, incase some smartass medic with a patch in his hands comes to the rescue, while nobody covers him.
