I believe Bf Pr is losing its playerbase and also i believe that its harder and harder to find propper server with teamwork or mumble users. I dont even dear speak about the lack of commanders. One server sure had those few days a week but now it seems to also have vanished.
My friends are reluctant to come and play bf pr if sisu is not up. I agree with them. If we manage to get a squad of guys and play on some server, all the maps feel empty and its usually long walks of boredom to a objective of empty until we say fuck this im gona go do something else.
Jet still Pr Management team insists on the 48 hour rule. Because they feel that they must protect few used servers and 20 empty ones.In MY opinion PR Management does not want to lose server subscriptions at alpha networks and hence lose their support in the form of hardware and perhaps other assistance.I also believe Pr management should confess this as one the reasons for having Sisu run on 48 Hours limit instead of Noobs With Attitude having to take all the blame for whining about Sisu.
As For the bugines of the server, i think it needs testing and tweaking and support from everywhere it can get it.
Where is it getting that support right now ? Nowhere. Only limitations.
Testing time ? Limited.
Soppas intrest to tweak it ? Fading fast I THINK.
And the major BUG/reason we are not all playing on 128 is the lack of name tags.
But what people fail to realize is that there is a solution. REMOVE THE DAMN THINGS.
It has been tested to work. 50% of people on sisu dont have nametags and yet people still play it and like it. IT would be even better when people no longer expected nametags around instead would have to rely on maps, actions of targets and finally most importantly appearances. Would also promote teamwork i think.
In anticipation of lock/ban/whatever i dont really care anymore.
I say once again GIVE US 128 And screw the "decision has been made and its not up for discussion" mentality around here.
To to clarify *NwA* is in no way to blame for sisu being limited to run for only 48hrs just at a week end, ill make a few points just so you understand why.
1. The times when sisu is allowed to run is the busiest time of the week so other servers that run PR can have a share of the player base.
2. At the time of making my post the 128 player server was to put it frankly a COD free for all gun and run mess. No where near the game style the DEV's want to promote.
3. Other servers not just *NwA* were having issues with the quality of game play as a result of players playing 128 COD then coming on good quality PR teamwork servers and continuing the free for all gun and run game play.
4. Unless your clan/community can afford to run a dedi server you would be paying 128x89p GBP per slot to rent a server, to either compete of provide the none PR game play that PR:COD promoted.
Now time has passed,
1. *NwA* has moved to a dedi box.
2. We now run 2x 64 player servers.
3. The quality of game play on the sisu server has increased to be on a par if not equal to other TEAMWORK PR servers.
4. We now run a dedi box so we can expand the number of PR servers, be ready for when the 128 server files are released (or help test it), Run a PR:ARMA2 server (we have no experience running a ARMA server) once we have enough interest we will join in.
Also and the major reason I don't think its fare Noobs with Attitued get the blame. At the time of my post no one came up with a counter argument and the dev's must of agreed to my point or they wouldn't of enforced a 48hr week end only ban.
As a founder admin of *NwA* we will remove our resistance to the 128 player server and would welcome contact with sisu in helping test the 128 server files as we now have the box to do so. also player attitude towards 128 players is now inline with how PR should be played.
Also a big well done to the sisu admins for getting the players to realise its still PR just with more players.
