RPG scope
Are there any plans to make the markings on the RPG scope (Russian HAT and Russian right-click LAT) usable, in the same way as that of the SPG scope?
At the moment, it seems even more off the mark when fired, than it was just a couple of releases ago.

Can't find any reason of making it if the Russians aren't using them in real life.

If russians aren't using it why they are still in-game?

I think it's rather amusing to scope in an APC and instead you pick up a new solar system. At that point in time, you are amazed because you understand there's a deeper universe within BF
R that DEVs never knew they created.
And then you get killed.
That's what annoys me about it.

Re: RPG scope
First are you waiting for the weapon to settle?
Second are you aimming at the right spot?
These two overlooked things make a big impact on where the RPG lands. If you still can't make it work than just use the RPG-26 (Rifleman AT main) or RPG-7 with irons (Anti-tank ALT(yes there are ALTs for this aswell as some others you wouldn't think like the IDF AA)). The rest of us can use the scopes (yes it takes some getting use to, but it does work).

Re: RPG scope
the 400 meter mark is where its zeroed in, just use that, and you will be owning stuff in no time
There is only one unforgivable lie That is the lie that says, This is the end, you are the conqueror, you have achieved it and now all that remains is to build walls higher and shelter behind them. Now, the lie says, the world is safe.? The Great Khan.

Re: RPG scope
I know how to use it, I'd just like to be able to use the scope as it is in real life. karambaitos knows what I'm getting at, I'd just rather it be zeroed at 50-meters, where the cross is (for instance) or something like that.Bob of Mage wrote:First are you waiting for the weapon to settle?

Re: RPG scope
This might give you an idea of what I mean, see how the SPG scope markings can be used to aim and measure distance? It would be nice, if the same could be done with the RPG scope.
(just in case you were wondering, the scales to the left and right indicate size of 1.7 metre and 2.7 metre targets at 600, 800, 1000 and 1200 metres)

I'm pretty sure its safe to assume that the scopes will be properly zeroed in the future, we want to implement a whole load of things and this is in the queue afaik.

Re: RPG scope
Thanks rudd, would be very nice to see. It's pretty cool what you guys have done with the SPG scope.

It'll take a lot of tweaking and editing the sight picture on the scope itself to make this work.
However, I would LOVE. to see this in PR. Not just the RPG scope, but also for the ACOG and other scopes.

I might have misunderstood what you just said, Rudd, but; is there any point of adding it to rifles, as the bullet-drop only starts after 600 meters?

You are thinking of DM and sniper rifles.saXoni wrote:I might have misunderstood what you just said, Rudd, but; is there any point of adding it to rifles, as the bullet-drop only starts after 600 meters?

Re: RPG scope
400m. The curvature of the earth permits a bullet to hit the same place above the ground at 30 something meters and 300 some meters. That's what my Marine Corps buds say and if you want to argue with them well, then you'd be arguing with the best shooters in the world. But I'm almost certain that PR does not have the curvature of the Earth built into it, so I'd say about 400-500 m before you would get "noticeable" drop.saXoni wrote:When does the bullet-drop start for assault-rifles then?
Seriously. Take a shot after deviation settles, if that doesn't hit the guy who is 400+ meters out, aim higher. If that doesn't work, you shouldn't be shooting at him.

G3 is 400, 5.56 rifles, 5.45 rifles, and 6.5(chinese^^) are 300, and I believe the AK47 is 350. Or maybe 250. I'm not suresaXoni wrote:When does the bullet-drop start for assault-rifles then?

Bullet drop starts at 0 meters. This is a common misconception.saXoni wrote:I might have misunderstood what you just said, Rudd, but; is there any point of adding it to rifles, as the bullet-drop only starts after 600 meters?
