Kills are tickets, and tickets are important. Tickets win you games. Flags and vehicles are also tickets, so are also important, and will also win you games if correctly managed.AquaticPenguin wrote:I can understand that it is 'all about the kills' but I think that's not a good reason to keep showing them, quite the opposite.
I think PR is not a sim, it still has some very obvious FPS roots and as such I think feedback on the important things, the things that win you games (tickets) is good and necessary information to have in the game.
I agree, having an individual kill counter is completely the wrong emphasis for PR, I disagree that encouraging people to go for kills is a bad thing because as I've said above, kills are are an important part of what will win you a game.AquaticPenguin wrote:Having a kill counter encourages people to go for kills
I think the emphasis needs to be switched from the individual to the squad, because squads are more important than single players.
And like you say I think rather than a squad kill counter there should be a squad ticket counter as this again shifts the emphasis from just kills to tickets, something which would help squads to think about a match in terms of what is really important.AquaticPenguin wrote:especially since there isn't a great deal of logic with the current point system, anything that'll help make people think more like a squad-member/team member is good imo.
100% agree.Tim270 wrote:I think that simply still showing only kills does not properly reflect the value of you, or your squad accurately. The vanilla format for the scoreboard has become redundent to a extent by PRs gameplay.
