the new and improved pr mumble imo should be enforced to all pr: servers.
played on a non forced mumble server and the gameplay was terrible.
used to play at sisu.
wery poor at articulating what i mean... maybe you understand?
the point is: mumble is past 1.0 FORCE IT!!!

Re: mumble reborn
Agree, mumble was one of the most important things that made Sisu the best server in PR. Non mumble servers are horrible indeed, or atleast it feels like a major setback on teamwork after playing on mumble servers'[olutta wrote:Kasi;1694193']the new and improved pr mumble imo should be enforced to all pr: servers.

Re: mumble reborn
I definitely agree that mumble is paramount, almost essential to a good round. However, I have heard of a few instances in which players were not able to run Mumble (some claimed it caused lag). Because I don't think anyone should be prevented from playing PR for faults not of their own, I am against enforcing Mumble game-wide.
I WOULD, however, suggest having servers enforce Mumble but grant exceptions to players with exceptional problems (such as unplayable gameplay due to lag when using Mumble). I'm not a server administrator, so I have no idea if this is even feasible... a good idea at all!

What do you exactly mean by "The new and improved mumble?"

Re: mumble reborn
I think the new 'easy to use' mumble is going to attract a few more PR players that weren't willing to devote the time to set it up before. However, I think the whole idea of "enforcing" mumble is rather silly. Enforcing something won't make someone feel obliged to do it.
In short, I think more servers should be like PRTA and Sisu now

Mumble should start up with PR, that way, you don't even have to open it up manually

Re: mumble reborn
Indeed.
Here is a thread which several server admins discussed their logic behind not enforcing it.
I don't see the OP's argument being any more compelling.
Here is the official thread wrt the new mumble. Please discuss.
Closing thread. 1) There are a number of already open threads discussing mumble. 2) It's not in the Server Licence that Mumble is required, therefore will not be enforced.
