Volume/audio inside noisy vehicles

Post by xambone »

WAIT I CAN'T HEAR YOU, HOLD ON

Esc....
Settings....
Audio...
Lower game sound to 3%...
Hit Apply...
ESC.......

Ok now what were you saying?
Response: HAT KIT IN FRONT OF YOU!

*big explosion*

This has been my General experience in the USMC AAVP on Muttrah City.

I appreciate the high quality sound that PR team has put into the AAVP and all other vehicles but IF I am a crewman Don't I have noise reduction Headsets on.

I think it would be great if sound for Driver/Gunner was reduced for next patch in most armor simply because IRL it would be reduced 30-50%.

Anyone else think this would do alot of good to the game? What does the Community Think?

How about putting your receive volume in VOIP to max and decreasing game sound slightly. I dont have a problem with it. You just got to tweak it to meet your needs. Or ask the driver to fix his effing mic.

I've been in a tank. Its loud. But yea, I play with ingame sound on 15-20% or something like that.

Definitely, I don't have my settings turned real low because I want to hear stuff but I got Mumble on like 200% with max bloom in order to barely hear my gunner. And this is only possible when standing still, while driving its just a guess game what he said xD

Would be nice to have directional audio off when in vehicles. If you're squad leader and end up at the back door seat it's really hard to hear the driver talking.

No, because once out of the vehicle you will have to go back to the options.

I think what he suggest is a great idea.

Vehicle operators need to have extremely low background sound, they all wear noise-canceling headsets...

I think maybe if they could change how mumble behaves while inside vehicles...like what Mikemonster said.

Is this even possible?

And then you have to turn it back up when change server or go foot. And if you are on Kasha n and want to go out from the tank to hear enemy vehicles, you have to put your sounds back up and when going back in you put them up again and repeat x5.

Not if you turn up the volume for Mumble.

Once again, the question is this:

Why not have the devs turn down the sound of the vehicles for the driver/gunner?

Because engines are usually loud.

And people in vehicles always have some sort of ear protection.
