Hello,
By using Mumble PR on 128 players servers, i have some several lags when there is a lot of people around me (more than 30 players within 50m radius).
It is CPU lag, so it slow my mouse a lot and the game can't be play in good condition.
I have a 3 years old laptop that allow me to play PR in high (expect shadow) with 30 fps, I play at the limit to have a runny game).
Does anyone have the same problem with mumble, or my computer is just too bad for having PR+mumble+TS and devices driver at the same time ?
Spec :
CPU : c2d @2,6Ghz
GPU : 9600 GT 512mb
RAM : 3 Gb
OS : Vista 32 with allowing 3Gb of ram for one appli (instead of 2gb, resolving CTD problem on big map)Tuto here
Device with driver that need CPU: g500 and g35
PR Mumble 1.0 = high usage of CPU ?

Are you sure its not the huge amount 128 players lagging you out? I know a lot of people that have performance issues on Sisu.

If i shut down mumble i have no lag.
And on 2 days, my mumble have crashed 5 times (stop responding).
I don't have audio problem in game, just on loading map when everybody is on the same channel, but it is the same for every one, server issues

I'm not lagging, but Mumble is lagging like hell when it comes to the 128-server. It's impossible to hear anything, except from the guys in your squad.

I can hear everything on mumble in 128. It only starts lagging on mapchanges where you're not allowed to talk even, so..

Mumble does start distorting sound packets if too many people are near each other (which is the case on the 12LieutenantNessie wrote:I can hear everything on mumble in 128. It only starts lagging on mapchanges where you're not allowed to talk even, so..

Ive noticed problem only on map change. Sound gets distorted and its not only on 128 it happens on almost all servers, no matter how much players are there. If someone speaks and the map is still not loaded, it will distort in most cases. Im guessing that this is the problem with communication between mumble server and game server, and on that route all the players are affected, especially those with higher latencies and lower bandwidth. Thats my guessing though, not sure if its exact but I think its close.
Also shouldn't this be in support section? Yes please!

It works fine for me (3g ram, 2core 2.6), last time half of the team was in the south bunker on kashan (30+) and there was no lag or sound distortion at all. But the sound is distorted during map change and map load (not always tho)

Friendly fire isn't always that friendly.
