Description:
Basically you'll lose an ATGM-missile if you fire one missile, and switch to AP, HE or smoke before another ATGM-missile has been reloaded and is ready to fire.
Steps to Reproduce:
Get in a tank (with ATGM, needless to say) with another person who can drive it for you. Switch to ATGM, and fire off a missile. As soon as you've fired, switch back to another type of ammunition (AP, HE or smoke). Switch back to ATGM after 10-15 seconds, and you'll see that you've lost not only one (which would be the correct amount), but two ATGM missiles.

Tested on:
I've experienced this on a lot of maps containing tanks with ATGMs. The last map was Black Gold, operating China's Type 99*.
*Pretty sure that's the name of China's tank.

Yeah, I can confirm this. Though I think you don't need to instanty switch from the ATGM when you fire it, just switch before it reloads.
The Chinese tank in PR is the Type 98.

You're right. As long as you switch before the ATGM reloads.Stealthgato wrote:Though I think you don't need to instanty switch from the ATGM when you fire it, just switch before it reloads.

I don't know but is ATGM fired from same tube/pipe as AT/HE shells (in real life/world) ?

Kind of related to this, Merkavas ATGM falls to the ground if you switch away from it while it is still being guidable

I'm guessing that's because you've "deactivated" it by switching ammunition.LieutenantNessie wrote:Kind of related to this, Merkavas ATGM falls to the ground if you switch away from it while it is still being guidable

I think I've noticed the same ammo loss problem when switching ammo in the SPG techie. Will have to test it out further some day.

You're right. I forgot about that. It's the same with the SPG.Zrix wrote:I think I've noticed the same ammo loss problem when switching ammo in the SPG techie. Will have to test it out further some day.

It also affects mortars, if you switch between IM and Prox munitions before the reload is complete you will lose an extra round. This sometimes results in the emplacement being unable to rearm.
