I think the way it is now in the game is spot on. Things change when there are 200 players on server... once on the SISU server we had 70ish civilian mob stoning all us troups that dared to get closer.
They had no clue what to do.

Seriously though, I think it's quite spot on like it is. Coalition forces have superior firepower and not being able to shoot everything that moves - without a small punishment at least - evens it out a little gameplay wise. And a small punishment it is: lost your score? Boo hoo.

Five minute spawn? Go make yourself a sandwich
You can't achieve complete realism in a game like this and having the collaborator kit to spot enemies relatively safe is a good gameplay feature, sure having lots of civilians walking around would be more realistic and with bots and the 64-player limit broken that might even be possible, but that's another story!
