Why did nobody join the 128Player Server

Post by SterrUwe321 »

Hello Pr Community

Just one little question....Why are you guys not joining the 128Server?
This weekend i spend like 5-6hours while waiting for the map to seed. But noting!
You peoples prefer to stay on the regular 64servers.

Just explain me why????? I dont get it!

i mean there is a server where 128 could play together and you don't join it?

Is the problem the fact that YOU can't drive an Apc/Tank or fly a Jet/Attack Choppper because there are too many players and no vehicle was left for you? :? :

Just tell me the reason. I'm really wondering.....

don't know why. Server crashed yesterday when it was full, never got full again. I think olut needs more admins to keep it running, go and help them, sign up here:Admin applying

Yesterday it was me,sabre and Ron-Shultz trying to get the server going but didn't work... Server needs a little more balance and less chaos, then it will go smooth again.

Too many people makes it too unorganized, which then again gives way too many retards doing nothing.

No matter what 128 servers rock. You just have to use more brain power to get things going in there, so not many want to put that little extra effort.

Because there's too much stupidity going on in 128 server. Gameplay usually sucks there.

I think there is a feedback for this server. Maybe it would be wise to issue any such things here:

https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f29-pr ... pe-32.html

But the only feedback accepted is techincal as i belive it is a testing server not a game server.

So if it really is an issue PM the OLUTTA guys. They know what they are doing ;)

Well thx for the link to the other forum thread

but i think the problem is not the lack of admins, for me its a gameplay problem.
Too many peoples want to drive/fly something, too many want to play on the BLUFOR side, i saw that people leave the server again CUZ after they joined in they got switched to the Insurgency Team.

2-3yrs ago i opened a thread where i tried to explain that if the Pr Community doesn't balances out the difference between the teams we will loose a lot of players.
I got banned. (Maybe cuz i used google translater at that time ^^)

Today playing Ins feels like playing as a smart bot for the Blufor team. A bot that's smart enough to hit you but mostly is useless armed.

I don't get it why a Civillian can't run longer or faster as a soldier who has 20-40kg on his back. I don't get it why civillians can't swim. I don't get it why the Ins RPG kit doesn't have a Pistol, or a scorpion/Uzi as weapons. As Insurgent i'm forced to stay near a cache to reload my rpgs. Well, Pr should give all riflemans 2xAmmobags instead of only 1, that would make the whole gameplay much more "Flow" and i could stay with my squad at the front, they would resupply me.

And the Shotgun arresting is the biggest bullshit i've ever, Sorry. I don't play PR to stare 2min on a black screen only becaus one smart american managed it to shoot me from 30m range with his shotgun.

Why do we have to stare +2min on the screen? The Enemy has got the Intelligent Points, so why do i have to wait?

the pr community shouldn't wonder if we loose more and more players, as long playing on the INS side feels like being a bot.

Because the overall stupidity on all servers has grown in the past time and since the 128 had always more derp, now it's unbearable and makes anyone interested in the slightliest in teamwork ragequite and/or smash his/hers PC.

64+--> Works only in an extremely well administrated environment, or special events. Public players are simply not "good" enough for it (and this comes from probably the biggest support of the 128 concept).

for me it's not the stupidity of the players. for me it's just the fact that the teams are unbalanced and therefore the people are loosing the interest in teamplay.

The Pr Community is mature, everyone knows how the teamplay should work and what you have to do.

Hello
To play a 128 requires players used to play 64 game, or big teams that played before such as cata nato example.
The FFA have not n the habit of playing 128.
A 128 does not play like a 64 course, you need good leaders in squads, squads that have a habit of playing together.a good commander .
A commander who want play with good soldier. And players who listen.
The 128 servers are not for the insurgents, (well, for me).
The 128 servers should be with interest , like a tournament or a map test, or a championship ..
So the 128 does not full for all these reasons.
if I add the game play , when sometimes I see on kashan squad lost to the north while the battles are in the south, it discouraged. And last things the communication is very poor ..

That's my opinion.

sterrUwe, it is the stupidity of the players unfortunately. Every gamemode in this game plays out better with more players. Definitively insurgency. Brain is right, the server needs to be micromanaged by admins. Oskar and Sabre's event a few weeks ago showed that it's possible. Hell, PRTA did a pretty good job managing it a few months ago even if I say it myself :p It's just needs order in the chaos. And trow out some rotten apples. Then you have balance, and then you have a full server with loads of fun.

i just hope Project Reality 2 is not gonna to be like this.

The gameplay sucks for those who prefer to play as Insurgents. That's the problem in my eyes.
Nothing with Teamplay, Clans, Admins, player who are used to 128layout or something.

Whoever says servers with more than 64 players are less teamwork and more derp should add that 128 server lag so much (because of the exponential growth) so they are not playable, and that 64 is the actual maximum number of players, that Moses himself engraved in the code of all online games. That, plus the servers are 64bit!

servers are 64bit.. Are you kidding me? 128 is pretty stable. I never lag. Server crashes? sure. But no lag. I think Soppa has done a great job so far.
