This is not dead, just had to push it to the side due to a huge professional project. I will try to do more with this in my spare time but it may remain more of a concept as I just don't have time right now to learn the BF2 menu system.
I have been having a lot of fun with these designs and have even thought about doing a whole "rebrand" concept for PR from these menus and logo to website, HUD and even the manual. But it is just going to be a little slow for a bit.
In the meantime, feel free to put up your ideas on concepts if you have any. Write up what you like dislike about Project Reality's (or any other game's) menu. Tell me about any game menu that you just love. Lets take this thread and make it something more. If you all would like.
Though, Red, I did take some of your logo suggestion and actually made one small change to the 'R'

Ideally you could get someone who has knowledge of the UI and pass it onto them. This would really give PR a more professional look, similar to the awesome Assassins Creed II UI.

Ive read it all (3 pages in i realised it is 2 years old
) and it looks really awesome. Shame he dropped it, most probably.
However, there is a hope. AncientMan has something in making for 1.0. Seems like not only a new design, but a whole lot of functionality, like integrating mumble or better adjustability to different screen resolutions...

What would be nice would be in-game videos popping up across the menu at the locations they were shot at, showing the action there.
EG A background video pop-up pointing to a location on the minimap image, showing, foresay, a gunfight happening there.
it just needs some tweaking font perhaps
the red really stands out makes the mod look like a full blown game
but it looks very BF3ish( in a good way) if you know what I mean

its incredible how simple design can change things quite dramaticaly, im glad Rivers remembered this thread and made me look at this, it sad that probably it nots going to make it

i love that background, could you possibly do one without the lens flare, they are the only thing slightly bugging me
i think you should try to get your work into 1.0
