this is a retarded statement. The score numbers are close to meaningless when many players leave during the game, and how assets lost are never tallied on scores, and can be lost without even taking any deaths. It's very common to be surprised by ticket counts, and to be misled by the score is too. How often can you say having an armour piece destroyed, and the crew jump out taking no deaths happens? Or perhaps how 7 infantry deaths ear worth the same as one attack helo going down, meaning that a 5 kill difference is the same amount of ticket difference? Another example of the kill count's uselessness is ticket bleeding, where players are only guessing the rough ticket loss of the enemy. Players are already totally "in the dark". Eliminating a scire board may force players to adapt and start marking down enemy assets destroyed. Even giving the commander a widget tht allows him to tally up enemy asset deaths, making that role more than useless in tune with DB's mod.

Further still, "knowing your own reserve pool as meaningless" baffles me how you can think this. Knowing when it's time to start making desperate moves, or being conservative is determined by this regularly when players currently, and have been, for a while in the dark.

The scoreboard is only a REALLY REALLY REALLY approximate indicator of your opponent's count, and just judging how the battle has been going, by talking to friendly asset operators, and infantry leaders would probably be better

i agree with a tally idea should add some more value to commander, if you think about it the commander should be an essential element to a team not just a in and out sort of thing.

Realism is key here guys. Kill counter for AAF is better imo.

Sometimes it seems they leave this open simply for their own enjoyment. Almost every arguement has been used a hundred times over already.

I think it is a great idea to remove it. I remember playing once on yamalia and we were just in fire fights all the time, and we would be pinned down by an AR and we would all just start shooting in his location then everyone in the squad would check their kills to see if they got him or not, and if we could move out.
Without it, it would create or keep that grey area of were you have no idea if the enemy is still there and operation

Fog of war, am I right?

TBH kill count should be reverted to the point that it was in vanilla, so it counts wounded soldiers, not only killed. By this you would be able to tell if the enemy got revived or not, but you would be able to tell the overall "wounded enemies" score. Most of the times IRL when you shoot someone you see if he falls onto the ground or not.

This is good idea. Kill count should be replaced with 'knocked out' counter. When Iam playing with my guys we just wait for the kills to show up "ok I got kill so he gave up lets move out" Where in real life I would only know that I knocked him out maybe...

Nah. Keep it like it is now but delay the score and kills appearing by 5 minutes and remove the darkening of enemy team names when they are dead/wounded.

I like the idea of removing the darkening but this is hardcoded.

add enemy scream sounds and breathing sounds while the enemy still alive ...today a dead body still screams. if you do that i don't mind removing the kill counter. still think it's good as it is now.

It's a game... If you remove the kill counter u might as well have the player suffer from traumatic stress disorder following killing someone and introduce a psychiatrist kit.

And we also need to implement a hunger bar and a Thirst bar ( a cook kit would be great).
And at the end of each round we should make After action review on mumble and send paper version to the commander (need to add a Military Postal Service Agency kit) , you also need to remove the Reviving capabilities of the medic not realistic .......

Come on guys if you do that you will kill the game for sure its still a game we need an arcade part if you want to be 100% milsim stop playing at games and join the army.(or play dayz :lol :)

like zackyx said.

removing the kill counter will kill this mod. its already bad populated due to slow update.
add a delay when you kill someone so it doesnt come up on the scoreboard as soon as he is dead dead.

we need something arcade like in the game so its getting played.

more realistic? sometimes the developers need to think for the mods best and removing the kill counter is something that will ruin PR.
