Personally if I was making a version of Muttrah City for any other engine the last thing I would be doing is "remaking" vBF2 and PR statics like what your doing... Most of them hardly look anything like the buildings in Muttrah and I would be making new buildings based off the ones that are actually there...

Anyways good luck with this and I hope your not importing vBF2 and PR statics, then modifying them a little as I must admit, I suspect you are, for your sake more than anything else as EA/DICE are not the best people to upset.

I agree with Rhino the buildings lack of shape and details but i see you use sketchup so the work done is impressive. Cool idea and interesting thread : I'm very curious to see if Cryengine 3 is good at managing that kind of map, keep going !

Again, I can assure you that everything (apart from the map image file I overlayed to get the positions of the buildings right + CryEngines default vegetation) is hand crafted and self-made from scratch. Though, you are definately right that I'm wasting a good bit of potential considering originality and visual quality of this project.

I came up with the idea back in v0.2, which was the version the littlebird was released in, which was basically PR's only new vehicle back then, but it had no maps for it, other than Gulf of Oman 32p and 64p which no one played anything above the 16 player version back then as there wasn't enough players and as such, no one ever saw the damn thing
With that I was determined to make a map for the LB and had an idea of an Amphibious Assault map on a city, and when browsing though pics of a google search I found a pic of Muttrah and fell in love with it, made Muttrah v1, then once PR had outgrown it since it was made small for v0.3 when PR didn't have many players, made the bigger, v2 we have today for v0.8

Looks amazing, although I support Rhino and think you should create it after the real Muttrah rather than the PR one.
