Sorry, i meant with "lockon or not2, that the missile lock on the flares or airvehicle (doesn't matter what it locked on). I don't meant "no lock ons".

Usually, I use portable AA to scare enemy CAS away...

I think the hand held AA unbalances the game for most aircraft and it is far to effective and can be exploited easily. I personally think that all hand held AA should be removed or there should only be one per team which only fires on the second tone whilst aiming down the sight.
It would encourage people to use the AA implacements more, which are actually balanced

So what i understand is that i should lock on not just wait a few seconds and fire the missile without completely locking on (im talking about manpad like strela) and preferably fire when aircraft is cmn towards me. Pretty much what you've said is correct, other than in order for the missile to fire in "locked mode", you must first lock on with the HUD, before you fire the weapon. If you fire the missile before your locked on with the HUD, most weapons will not track any targets as they have a "lock delay" to contend with.

The AA missiles will go for the closest target comp and that is TTHeat, doesn't matter if u have a "lock on" on the vehicle or not.
Air vehicles have this heat object and the flares too. So if u locked on an airvehicle, the missile will go directly to the heatsource that is the closest one.
That means:
If u locked on to an chopper, jet or whatever is flying, the missile will go for the closest heatsignature.
If an flare is between ur missile and your target, the missile go for the flare.
If the flares are behind the target, the missile will go for the jet, chopper whatever because "seek closest target comp".
If a jet is coming and starfing directly in front of u and pop his flares, 1 seconfd later, the flares are behind the jet, because he is moving forward and the flares are behind them and ur missile will hit. There is no escaping for the jet.
I shot many aircrafts by using this knowledge

The handheld AA should either be removed, as someone mentioned, or changed the way that you could only fire after you have the lock. That should happen to all AAs. Also, the lock-on time should be longer. It seems like handheld AA -> quadgun -> AA emplacement -> AntiAir vehicle.
