Aren't M16's in the Israel region actually M16A1's?

Yes it's the M16A2 being used by the Hamas L-AT and Rifleman AP, due to the PR archives.

Because the particular M16A2 the Hamas use has an A1 lower and A2 upper I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The case is that it's not really a bug so it should be posted on the Feedback Section.

Re: [0.973] M16A2 incorrect firemode
Then it is actually an A3:
"The M16A3 was a fully automatic variant of the M16A2 adopted in small numbers around the time of the introduction of the M16A2, primarily by the U.S. Navy for use by SEAL, Seabee, and Security units. It features the M16A1 trigger group providing "safe", "semi-automatic", and "fully automatic" modes."

I'm only guessing, but I think there's a reason the Hamas AR15 variants have got unique names, just like the Israeli variants having their own names.

I'm pretty sure the Hamas "M16A2" is just an M16A1 fitted with A2 handguards, which would make full-auto legitimate.

Re: [0.973] M16A2 incorrect firemode
Most likely; it is just A1 refitted with newer handguards.
If it says A2; just ignore it. Does not matter too much even if it is not changed in v1.0. since you can also turn M16A1 into Mk18 just by putting on newer upper assembly and stock, iirc.
Real problem is solid stock AK-74 texture(it has folding stock's latches on it).

Re: [0.973] M16A2 incorrect firemode
Im a bit curios, why this incorrection found now.I found it since they was added.
AKS-74(Not ingame),AKS-74U and AK-74M got folding buttstock.
But they modelled as solid one. This is impossible to fix without 3d model changes.

I know exactly what they are supposed to be.samogon100500 wrote: AK-74 got solid buttstock.

I was referring to INS AK-74.
I posted this: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f26-pr ... error.html
In-game, only real fix is just change of texture(model is not very detailed); also need to add rivets texture for rear trunnion.

Its a M16A1 with A2 handguard.
Its now up to you to come up with a better designation!

Yep, real problem.Smiddey723 wrote:Real problem that![]()
Because texture is s**t like that which is much bigger problem(quality of PR related) instead of just some insignificant M16 name.
M16A2, btw, is very possibly correct; because, towards middle/end of Cold War, US army ran out of rightside handguard for M16A1, so armorers were allowed to replace with M16A2 handguards, they got A2 look just by swapping handguard and flashhider. You either call it M16A1 due to receiver or A2 due to looks. Generally it is called M16A2 due to looks because if you just care about receiver then some CQB-R are made from A1 receivers so they would be called M16A1 instead.
Since U.S. Army ran out of A1 handguard; why would Isreali have those when they could have A2 handguards?

Again another good point. Like you said just take a look at the IDF's "Menosar", "Mekotzar" and "Mekotzrar" M16A1's.ComradeHX wrote:Yep, real problem.
