Re: [Vehicle] Fuchs 1A8 [WIP]
Sorry, I just had to take more time to recover. It has been very exhausting half year, but I think I just started my art motor again
Fuchs wanted me to post more pics of roof. Havent fixed those things what you asked ,yet
p.s Im starting my internee at redlynx as a level designer in two weeks (you cant see my face when I confirmed it, but you can imagine it)

Re: [Vehicle] Fuchs 1A8 [WIP]
Sorry, no progress made in summer
ops:
Had many things going on same time and had to kill all my projects. But now everything seems to be settled.
I want to finish this, before any new projects

Unlikely, I think. His last activity was 3 months ago. Probably busy with the RL problems. Kind of sad, it would have been an excellent model to have in PR.

Would be a big shame to lose this model.
User Ubaydah: "I used to play Call of Duty a lot and Battlefield 3. I am really good at those games 10th prestige, High K/d., I can kill people easily, etc. But on PR, for me, to be honest, I kind of suck."
User Not_able_to_kill: "Frontliner, you like evil man who comes to family house during christmas, takes out tree because it's too happy, so they can be just as sad as you"

Oh yes, indeed! One of my favorite vehicles in the German arsenal (built a nice 1:35 model as a kid) and this model really was/is nice to look at.
Surround, in case you ever read this:
1. I hope you actually recovered and got some of your (I assume RL) projects sorted out!
2. Please, don't let the model (and the work you already put in it) go down the drain.
You would make me one very happy armchair general!

Hello! My new years resolution will be to finish this model
For three reasons
1. Ive already put so much time into this
2.I really want to finish it
3. and most important, ill include the model to my final thesis.
This will be made. Ill shit bricks if i dont
Well, but happy new year guys!

Re: [Vehicle] Fuchs 1A8 [WIP]
Cool, but keep in mind, all this detail is all well and good, but when baked down into the final texture, then most likley resized to 1024x1024 (although if everyone has been optimizing their maps etc, you might be able to get upto 2048x204
your going to loose all of your tiny little details to the lack of pixels in the texture, even at 2048x2048, your still going to loose a lot of the really small ones. If your making this model "future proof" ie, for modern engines then ye, the extra detail might be good for that but for BF2, its somewhat of a waste of time so don't do it unless you really want to for w/e reason.
The most important thing to getting this model finished is the low poly model, then the most critical missing bits to the HP if you want to bake the low poly normals from the HP, which seeing how much work you've done already you should be doing
But ye, I would bake your textures at 4096 or 8192 then have them down sized for BF2 later, that's if you want to future proof all of what your doing but chances are for a new engine you would need to make a new low poly model anyways

Dun dun duuun.
Hi poly is made, wohoo.
Now for the fun part. Looow poly.
Mainly what I had left to do was the other side. Some mirroring and additional modeling. And the mg placement.
