Great map selection, nicely stacked teams and good effort to achive balance.

You failed 1 time though. Palvosk bay is known as a very hard map for US to win, so when a team that's going to be US on Pavlosk wins a previous round 260-0 it should be relatively balanced. You shouldn't have switched a whole squad. And a result- 480-0 for Russians. Very good balance on Silent Eagle though, shame that the server crashed.

Yeah Prevtzer, you are right.

Teams were quite unbalanced on Kozelsk and Goose Greene, and when we tried to get it fixed for Pavlovsk, people in the "stronger" team left, so it became the weaker team.

That's always the problem - you can't often make the teams even before roundstart (chat spam limitations) and never know who's still playing in the new round and people get upset when you switch them after the round start.

Sorry for that. Thanks for the feedback.

Teams have been quite unbalanced on most rounds in my opinion. It is quite obvious when you have a huge amount of clan members of OD-S and SRF or QRF and MerK on the same team against a very few of some other clan.

I would suggest that if this continues, you should just increase the briefing time as to allow the admins to manually balance the teams before round start.

And clans need to start to balance the teams on their own specially when they join with more than one squad.

It would come in handy to have a !swap "nick" "nick" that would swap the first player with the second player when they are on different teams. It would be quicker then using two !switch "nick" and even this command should allow for mass switch by entering multiple nicks or by entering a tag and auto switching all clan members of such tag/prefix.

Hey Onil,

Sadly, you are right, there were too many matches in the past days where the teams were unbalanced.
We truly don't want to stack all clans to one side or have unbalanced teams!

We try to balance the teams on round start and that usually works out.

On the other hand, you never know who else will join the server during the round, and
during a round, it's pretty hard. If you aks people if you can switch them, they don't want to, if you switch people, they rage and leave, if you switch anyone, you must find a player in the other team to replace and so on. . . Maybe the admin team must be more strict regarding this matter.

Thanks for your suggestions, I did not even know such things were possible! ;) I'd really like a longer briefing time and switching whole clans with one command would be really useful. We'll look into this.

As for now, I can say we are trying hard to get teams balanced and provide a good experience for every player.
Thanks again for letting us know, sorry that it happened & we'll try and improve!

Perhaps you got me wrong. I don't think mass switch is possible and there is no !swap command. It was just me thinking out loud that it would be a very useful thing to have if someone would add that to the framework. It is however possible for you to increase the briefing time in your server settings.

I really appreciate the active effort from the admins to keep the teams balanced and communication/ teamwork on a high level. QRF is getting a pretty good reputation (at least in my book).

I must admit QRF does an outstanding job with its server, the last couple of weeks.
You can see that how eager they work on communications and balance (I know how hard this is). So keep up the good work, we will need many good servers for 1.0!

You should organize your admins a lot better, and not kicking the same ppl over and over for room for clanmates when there are like 20 from QRF already in the server.

Yep. Won't happen again in the future. First time our server was so full we had to kick people.

But remember, this is our weekly gaming day, so getting slots for (all) of our members is legit. usually there are all in before the server fills up. didnt happen this time.

As a result of yesterday's events, our server now has 2 reserved slots. Number might change, we want to see how it pays off. We never felt the need for reserved slots because most of the time they are not used.

These slots are for QRF members only (pending further notice).
We found this a better way than being forced to kick players so that our commander can join the server and lead us to victory ;)

Thanks to all the people joining us last night. Thanks especially to the PRTA guys for showing up in such high numbers (also today), we hope you enjoyed it. Added [R-MOD], [UAA], [eVo], [NPK] to the smartbalance list.

enjoying my stay on this server for the last few days. No chat drama, good mapvotes and overal players that came to play the way the game is designed to be played. Nice work :p Specially with the alt and inf layers!

One thing tho, and it might be getting old as feedback but less muttrah would be appreciated. If you guys run it because it's easy or because it will keep the server alive then don't :p Your server is popular and good enough to play more risky maps. People really play muttrah without a brain these days which makes for very uninteresting fights IMO.

I hope tonight can be another good night on QRF ;)

Well we try to keep the map types varied. After a woodland map we usually do desert or urban mapvotes. Marlin, Beirut and Muttrah are the most played maps of that type...and since we play Marlin and Beirut almost every evening, we usually put Muttrah in the vote aswell, since it is actually rarely played on our server. You were just lucky that you caught us playing it this time...same thing with Kashan. I cannot remember when we played Kashan on our server for the last time. Must have been more than 2 months already.

Anyways thanks for the feedback :)
