The original APC/chopper medi-evac idea could actually work, if extended.
Make it so you can't respawn, until your body gets evac'd back to base. Then you can spawn in at the base. If you're only injured, then you still need to be brought back to base before you can be healed. At least it would take a few minutes to be healed this way, compared to a 1 second defib. I can see this is too complicated, but anyway.
A bit off-topic: I'd like to see the whole medic class removed all together. It's absolute BS. At the very most, allow healing to stop bleeding, but a defib revival followed by full healing, ffs.
Even healing takes longer than this "full resurrection"!

PR is not devloped enough for the defrib to be removed. The engine is also too limited - cant have legs being shot and resulting in impared movement.
PR must never forget how much of its fun is directly linked to many specific BF2 features - which DEV;s i am sure have not.
I would support its removal if the game engined allowed more - it does not and nver will.

Defibs are just Wrong
That's unfortunate. I would love to see real consequences to getting injured, just like in real battle. You could still do a few things to make it more realistic.
1) Dead is dead, stay dead until next game.
2) Defibs don't help bullet wounds. Medics don't run around with defibs, defibs can't help the type of injuries that bullets make...... get rid of them, just have the medic heal them.
3) Bullet wounds don't get treated and released back into the battle. If you are hurt from a bullet, the medic should help a little, but eventually you have to be taken out of the battle.

Well the engine wont allow and is it fun to get rid of the game play and put in only Reallistic! do you really want that and even so i do prefere gameplay in a game aswell.
Dont steal the medic shock paddles you destroy the gameplay by doing that like if you take away the medic you will destroy the squad play and only heal guys if tehre bleeding.
reving is an importent part of a strategy and you cant take it away the game just wont alow that.
just get rid of the icons underneeth the the heli's tanks APC's etc...
make sure tanks cant heal and light verhiceles, Aircraft cant heal. the APC, Heli's, Verhicles ( humvee's vodniks chinees---) will be able and will get red cross stickers when a medic drives id love to see a med-blackhawk flying to the resque also when a med joins on other positions he has to put up his medic bag to heal !
greets wons more and is there a spot in the team for thinking up stuff or doing research
caus im good in thinking out scenario's!

What if a medic needs a more realistic time for reviving someone. About 30 sec, in those 30 sec the "deadly wounded" soldier can't die. After the 30 sec he can fight. If it would be possible to carrie someone, it would be even more realistic. A medic can drag the wounded person into a safe zone. When there is a medical helicopter/apc the medic can put him in there and can continue the fight.
Maybe there can be such a system, the medic won't be replaced and the realism is very good.
Or maybe it be even maked more realistic when a medic only can stablize "deadly wounded" soldiers and heal wounded soldiers. If the soldier want to heal, he has to go into a medevac chopper where he gets heal.

I don't agree with most of that, except for the fun factor, if you consider it that. Regarding the defib only, no-one is suggesting adding anything more, just suggesting we take it out. Simple.Top _Cat the great wrote:PR is not devloped enough for the defrib to be removed. The engine is also too limited - cant have legs being shot and resulting in impared movement.

Have you forgotten about BF1942 & BF:Vietnam - it never had it. When you die, you should get penalized by having to wait 30 seconds & respawn.
Currently there's zero penalty for dying when you're in a squad of many medics. They dive in, revive & run away. They even have medics reviving medics. Even worse is taking out the whole squad then moving away, only to have a player from another squad spawn in and revive them all.
If you made it more difficult to use, then it would be at least acceptable to keep it, but currently it is being abused.
- A very slow 30 second "defib" of some sort would do.
- Or make it so that it takes 30 seconds for the defib to recharge, then you could only revive 1 rambo player at a time.
I haven't seen a good argument for keeping it in yet. Kit limiting will probably ease this flaw in the next patch, if nothing is done before then. They've spent so much time and effort into adding many realistic features into the game, only to have thing like this still tainting it all.
That would be excessive and take away the "game" aspect of it. It would turn into Americas Army, which only has 4 minute rounds sometimes.Blackbelt wrote:1) Dead is dead, stay dead until next game.

well in that 30 seconds if you want that he must be stabelised or someting like that dont it?? so you need 2 medics on the job to revive a guy that could be realistic?Eurus wrote:What if a medic needs a more realistic time for reviving someone. but med-evac is a cool option as you said id love to see that but is that posible caus the only thing that stops me on med-evac is how to get the wounded soldier in??
