Re: [WIP] Syrian Community mod - need help
Yeah I did all that for the installation of bf2editor. But when I run it it works fine, but the problem is when it tells me '' Select Startup MOD '' and I click bf2 and it says '' You need to download directx9c or higher'' or blah blah.MineralWouter wrote:run it in compatibility mode with WINXP.

Just give Mineral a PM with your skills.
The problem is we don't have enough modeling power to just make a new model, because it maybe fits a little tiny winy bit better.
That's why we use the Dragunov for now, who knows what will happen in the future.

You just posted 4 times in a row... instead of editing your first post.
Anyways, every source is welcomed. But I think Mineral went thorugh the most obvious ones like wikipedia.

i guess sorry for misunderstanding
Also, i know how to spot the difference between a AK47,AKM and AK74 most of the time, but still can't spot a type56 from a AK47. Any tips on how to see the difference quickly? The metal receiver thingy is the most obvious sometimes, but what else?[/QUOTE]
the difference between an AK47 and a Norinco type 56S is that type 56's tend to have perminent stilletto looking bayonets attached under the barrel, i hope that helped, trust me i have 2 norinco type 56

Re: [WIP] Syrian Community mod - need help
and the type 56 usually has the front sight forming a circle and connecting on the top but the ak-47 one is more of a U shape and it has an open top
for example:

Re: [WIP] Syrian Community mod - need help
Just a few questions, this mod sounds pretty interesting.
What are your plans to make the AKM and AKS-47 feel different? Other than the obvious recoil difference from the slant brake, they're extremely similar rifles firing the same round. Any particular reason you're going with the metal-pommel type 2 bayonets (referred to as the AK-74 bayonet in game, they fit the AKM as well however) vs. the round ended type 1?
