FOBs

Post by Chefmoto1 »

I love the fact that you can't ninja knife FOBs now, but is there anyway they can be taken out by something other than a Specialist? You'd think heavy vehicles shooting it would do some damage.

FOBs and Hideouts is too hard to destroy now.
I think its should be a bit easy.

How about making them destroyable by frag grenades? Not just one or two, if a fair amount of them was needed (6 or so) it might be a viable option, but requires the squad to make a decision - "waste" all of their grenades to take out a FOB, sticking around somewhat long while making quite some noise, or just mark it on the map and carry on, leaving it to others?

I like that it requires a special kit. it requires more planning and team work. Kind of like requiring an AT kit to take out armor. You would probably want EOD to take out structures and what not at a Forward Operating Base.

I think something common like rifleman or the squad leader should be given C4... cause now my squad will find a FOB and be like... well shit we cant take it out.

Fobs are considerably more survivable now, which is probably a move in the right direction, but atm they're WAY too survivable... especially hideouts... cause you can build those things anywhere

What prevents you from taking Specialist kit in your squad? You have 8 players - I bet someone could take Specialist/Engineer kit.

Specialist or combat engi.

It's like complaining that it's too hard to heal people without a medic kit and saying that other kits should carry epis and patches and med bags. Or, just make sure you have a medic.

I think it will just take some getting used to, but fobs and caches will be dropping like flies quick enough.

If you're a lone wolf though, good luck getting a specialist or combat engi. You're days of lone wolf fob hunting are numbered!

*redacted*

You can't just hand out to c4 to regular soldiers as they walk out the door into combat. There are people who are "specialists" at demolitions who are responsible for those parts of the missions.

Was I crying? Maybe next time read the OP before insulting me. I said I liked that they can't be knifed now, I was simply saying that heavy vehicles should be able to destroy them, and apparently they can and I just had a bad experience with it.

Anyone know if a couple 40mm rounds from a UGL can blow it? Would be nice if 2 or 3 rounds from a UGL could destroy it.

imo hideouts still need to be knifeable since they are easy to build & hide.

These fobs are way too hard to destroy. It's terrible. I was playing Black Gold and me and 1 other dude were capping a city flag by ourselves. They had a fob and we had no way to destroy it, so we just sat around near it. Well turns out some moron spawned on it and came up behind and killed us both. FOB's were much better before. Something needs to be changed.

The issue I have now with FOBs is the camping, oh lord the camping.

Now that most soldiers cannot deal with a FOB I find it has become an issue of "camp until the specialist/combat engineer arrive". I disapprove of it, but there really is no other way to lock a FOB down most of the time.
