Thanks Shadow. I presume the community does not really want these old maps or do you think they might be included if someone actually got it together and audited and fixed them for PR?

Re: BF2 maps
They were phased out of the mod for being too small and for the efforts of having as less vBF2 stuff as possible. Auditing them for PR wont do them much good as they just dont suit PR's gameplay anymore

However, doing this would make them a bit more playable.CroCop wrote:They were phased out of the mod for being too small and for the efforts of having as less vBF2 stuff as possible. Auditing them for PR wont do them much good as they just dont suit PR's gameplay anymore

I've stopped work on it for the foreseeable future, as I am busy with the Syrian comfac and Project Normandy. Maybe someone day I will start back on it.MertSahin wrote:that is some great work Rabbit do you think they will ad your Sharqi Peninsula ever !?

Re: BF2 maps
Nice Rabbit! I quite like the idea of bunkering down in a bunker on the golf course. I guess with all of this it just requires some effort on behalf of the community to come up with something exciting that grabs people. That said, will the new dev work on cry engine 3 require all new work or is there any way to import some of the previous maps and statics from BF2
R to the cryengine format. Maybe we should all focus on learning the new engine and what it can do? As you can tell I have no idea....I did make quite a few Quake 1 maps tho
....back in the day....

Re: BF2 maps
You should be able to import heightmap data if I can remember correctly. Statics should be remade, as the cry 3 engine can handle much more detail.Tommygun wrote:Nice Rabbit!
