Vehicle Headlights?
Working on the Shadowspear mod, and was wondering... if we can implement working flare guns, would it also be possible to make working headlights for vehicles?

It's possible, yes. I believe EOD had a jeep with headlights that were always on as far as I know. XWW2 also had a jeep with headlights, which you could activate by "firing". What it did was fire very fast and each project was a lightsource. FH2 has searchlights which work a bit similar I think.

Dynamic lights in the refractor engine is really troublesome. All the issues with headlights would just not be worth it I think

iirc this method resulted in massive server lag if there were multiple vehicleswhich you could activate by "firing". What it did was fire very fast and each project was a lightsourc
figuring out a way to implement NVGs would be better imo

atm we're looking at a combination of thermal vision and NVGs. Still going through all the pro's and con's though.

Thermals are better for contrast and for more accurate differentiation between a bush and a ghillie suit.
Si I think perhaps we should focus on getting as meany thermal assets to as many players as would be realistically applied.
