Oh, its only a twin barrel and only 400RPM effective! Phew, I thought this would be game over for the "flying tank"..

'[R-COM wrote:LITOralis.nMd;1976094']What ever happened to the Zeus mounted on the ammo techie ? There is a thread somewhere in the modding forums, and I saw a picture of what looked like a nearly completed model.

BEHOLD: I remembered the thread:

here is the picture for everyone to see. It would be nice to see some more CAS in insurgency maps tbh and this would allow that, might even be able to use Apaches or cobras again.

TRANSPORT Technicals

Post by eversmen_br »

Guys we really need a descent transport for insurgents , the .50 call techie always gets taken by lone wolfs and the likes of, used mainly to attack.

It's really bad for logistics having just bikes, ammo techie and the cardboard car left ... a pure transport techie would be welcome and it's as realistic an asset can get...also player driven rules so it's used mainly for transport of troops

(using the same model we have, removing the weapons creating a new asset)

The insurgents have a Zavasta Van. Too bad it is only featured on two maps and none of them respawn in a mainbase. It would be great if it was featured on all insurgency maps along with a single ammo box in it.

I agree...

But in reality devs can't really prevent lone wolves from taking them.

I would suggest adding trucks which could carry troops on its back mount, and buses aswell.

I also suggest adding cars which could drop heavy supply crates for insurgents so they can switch their kits in the middle of the battle, making it possible to put mortars aswell and some advanced structures that insurgents could have (?)

This is done well on Kokan yet even there transport may run out. Insurgent maps really do need a lot more transportation in the form of techies/civi cars in general.

IMO server admins also need to think about claimable transport and armed techies for infantry squads. Most of the times they are being soloed.

Admins still want to play the game. But if I see someone solo a vehicle I report them. Especially if I need one for my squad.

Admins take care of it usually

most of the time when we see insurgents on the move, they are using pickup trucks it's the more realistic choice... seeing some documentaries and pictures it's rarely a common car...it's all terrain vehicle not something that can't go up a curb

"Toyotaplans to export 186,000 Hilux pickup trucks this year, with major markets being Australia and New Zealand, the Middle East, Britain and South America." i guess they are great for farming too heh
