Thanks, my load time for pr is greatly reduced, BUT...

Now vbf2, and other mods now take a minute in a black screen before starting... Like PR before this update...

The load time for PR still seems the same. (1 min or so black screen when i start it up) Vanilla BF2 seems to have a black screen, but i don't think it's as long and i can't remember if i always had the black screen starting BF2.

Btw, using Win7, 64 bit.

This patch broke the game for me.

Gets error message when it starts up; nothing else was changed.

Ok, you guys need to read the second page of this thread (about starting in Windowed mode and going back to Full Screen mode later).

I tried firing up the game after writing the above paragraph, and it seemed as though mine was broken as well... just a black screen.

So not knowing the command-line parameter for getting it to start in Windowed mode, when I got to the black screen, I tried using the trusty old Alt-Enter trick, but that didn't do squat.

At that point, after only maybe some 20 seconds into the black screen, I tried Alt-Tab to get to the desktop to end the task, the screen didn't change right away, so I Alt-Tabbed again and I was back to PR with a good screen.

So Alt-Tab a few times at the black screen might possibly fix things for some of you, who knows.

P.S., just noticed that this is over a month old... I left for vacation on the 24th of July and only just got back this evening... so I guess everyone will have this thing sorted by now.
