Re: Mobile mortars
just make mortar range decreased than regular mortars like 500-400 or Lower meters maxed so don't have to worry about people camping at DOD

Re: Mobile mortars
For this to be combat effective, it has to be perfectly level. Imagine the mortar has a max range of 700m. Even a 5 degree inclination will put it completely off target. I am sure if this is ever implemented they'll come up with something, but I am just saying.matty1053 wrote:Every map has that flat land close to main...
Examples..
Khami, the MEC as a HUGE flat land not far from DOD. US does too, but not as big.
Kashan, MEC has the goodsize land, US does too.
Bijar Canyons, MEC has a decent area, IDF has better area's.
Marlin, well both teams have good land, especially France, they have cover from cargocrates.
To be honest, it would be like every second...
Ex: "WARNING: MATTY1053 GET MORTAR VEHICLE OUT OF MAIN DOD."
Plus, it would be impossible for the Bomb cars or rockets to hit it... They would be in "DoD" a lot of times.

Re: Mobile mortars
The point has already been argued, we already have functioning mortars in the game. MLRS would be OP and mobile artillery is a general bad idea. Also realism says that artillery is further behind the battle line than PR would allow.

Re: Mobile mortars
MRLS would be a step up over the weaponary operated in PR. With a full loadout you could attack severl qKm.
