Automatic Rifles OP
because in deployed mode it have awesome accuracy, you can spam 40 bullets almost in point. IMO it should be nerfed cause ARs perform the functions of marksman also. If it would lose accuracy when shooting it may be more interesting.

Re: Automatic Rifles OP
Add barrel change (PKM and mg3?) and overheating for AR and MG. Overheating should disable the weapon for good time. Some ARs are like automatic marksman rifles. It's ridiculous.

You have not seen pre-nerfed AR.Chuva_RD wrote:because in deployed mode it have awesome accuracy, you can spam 40 bullets almost in point. IMO it should be nerfed cause ARs perform the functions of marksman also. If it would lose accuracy when shooting it may be more interesting.

It was literally better than sniper rifle.

Re: Automatic Rifles OP
I wouldn't mind upward recoil being added to the deployed mode to make long range shots less likely to hit, I don't think it was doable to increase deviation with the amount of shots being fired.

Re: Automatic Rifles OP
Maybe a little less accuracy but muuuuuch better suppression (like, fire 5 round near window and the guy inside is shaking for solid 3 seconds).

Keep in mind that (light) machine guns are excellent ranged weapons (in terms of infantry combat) in real life too.

What's the point of higher artificial suppression on LMG if you can't kill enemies much more effectively than with standard rifles?Nate. wrote:Maybe a little less accuracy but muuuuuch better suppression (like, fire 5 round near window and the guy inside is shaking for solid 3 seconds).
Suppression from LMG works because you can see/hear a stream of mostly-accurate bullets; it tells you that you will die if you keep running out in the open.
Not because of some arbitrary amount of time when screen is blurry...
If one round from LMG does much heavier suppression than standard rifle; then how it is balanced with 45(the worst)-200 rounds?

don't touch it, it's not broken
it already has huge time to setlle deviation

SANGUE-RUIM, as someone who takes the AR and go solo around maps, exploiting the "standing with no place to deploy your AR but still firing in deployed mode", it does not surprise me that you don't want it to change.
(everybody does the deployed standing, but not everybody goes vanilla-solo with an AR)
I liked it more when it took sometime to adjust the sights, when the scope image was blurry and shaky. Better than current 5 seconds (or so) rule.

What do you mean? The deploy animations are the same as they always been. The settle time also did not change as far as i know. I think the ARs are fine. Obviously unscoped MGs are still the best to force people to use suppression, but the scoped ones are fine as well.Unarmed Civilian wrote:I liked it more when it took sometime to adjust the sights, when the scope image was blurry and shaky. If I'm not mistaken, in an older version of PR, there were some VFX effects to impair your vision whenever you'd bring the scope to the eye. Like an eye adjustment to the new tunnel vision and zoom levels. It was more realistic than than aiming down sight and having to stare at your enemy for a few seconds.[R-DEV]Mats391 wrote:What do you mean?

Re: Automatic Rifles OP
You are mistaken. The closest thing was the placeholder graphics before the telescopic sight model was added, where it zoomed in on irons and blurre the periphery around where it blurs now, just without the scope.
On topic, it's an unpopular view, but the AR and GPMGs should be buffed. There is a reason that all infantry tactics have been built around these weapons for a century, and it's because they are the gods of the infantry fight. Frankly, their only disadvantage in real life is that they're godawefully heavy with ammo. Other than assaulting, there should be no circumstance where you ever want another conventional weapon, except sniping beyond 800m.
I wholeheartedly believe there's room for them to be better, and the only nerf I'd suggest is reserve ammo count to tie them to riflesquads.

Dont think anything like that was ever implemented. Only thing would be the 2d sights with black around the scope in previous versions. That made ARs and everything scoped have way more tunnelvision.Unarmed Civilian wrote:If I'm not mistaken, in an older version of PR, there were some VFX effects to impair your vision whenever you'd bring the scope to the eye. Limit the ammunition? That would stop (or decrease) lone wolfing and ramboing around with AR/MG and encouraging teamwork and as said, highlighting the role of a rifleman and extra ammo or make the AR/MG guy run slower as he is carrying a lot of extra ammo.

Agreed. Don't nerf it, it's supposed to be powerful (it's that way IRL too).___SANGUE-RUIM___ wrote:don't touch it, it's not broken

The only annoying thing is that in the hip fire spray and pray world of PR CQB LMGs are OP as well. I see a lot of veteran players just running around with the SAW in close combat spraying everything down...

How do you deploy MG out of a window in FH2?Roque_THE_GAMER wrote:could be like in Forgotten hope, you can only ain deployed wile lying down and to defend you self you still can fire in the undeployed version but with alot more recoil
It's not a terrible idea to erase the whack-a-mole AR gunners; but is it worth it against realism?

Not worth it. Elevated positions are very strong points of engagement. And more often than not thats from a window.Roque_THE_GAMER wrote:you cant, but you still can hit something on the undeployed version.
