What? The squads on Qinling were too bad to kill the enemy lazing them? Omg... Own fault.

When every SL and sniper has a GTLD? Then you have me sat atop a hill, hidden behind a tree outside their main base and sticking a LZR on anything that leaves it. Transports, armour, AA vehicles. Our guys LZRed everything they could, we even bombed the Z-10 a couple of times.Daniel wrote:What? The squads on Qinling were too bad to kill the enemy lazing them? Omg... Own fault.
I did nothing but put LZRs on tanks and acted as comms and air controller for the team. The pilots saw nothing but HUD, scoreboard, clouds and our runway the entire game.
The standing order for all infantry SLs was to immediately LZR infantry contact of 4 men or more. Nothing was spared.
Since we never had to break cloud cover to release a payload, there was no risk of being targeted by AA or being spotted for enemy CAS. I don't think we even used the Apache once. A perfect example of poor gameplay resultant from poor gameplay mechanics.
Let Heavy Attack be different from Light Attack, Fighter Bomber and Fighter Jet.

Re: Bring back LGBs for A-10
There were, and probably still are, strict rules against base camping in the tournament. But then again, there is nothing stopping people from observing enemy troop movements from main. Tricks many times dirtier were used by each side throughout the campaign, and I'm glad to see todays tournaments appear to be at a much higher standard.Daniel wrote:So you basecamped? But of course, the topic we are talking about is LGBs vs dumb bombs for heavy attack aircraft. Do you have anything more to say about that?

Commander lasing feature was pretty darn OP. CAS dominated so much more back in days if the commander knew how to lase stuff properly.Daniel wrote:What? The squads on Qinling were too bad to kill the enemy lazing them? Omg... Own fault.

Planned changes are already set to address the potency of the commander UAV.
