Implement HD UI
Battlefield2 High Definition User Interface [WIP] mod - Mod DB
I'd love to see the interface updated for higher than 800x600 res.
PR has done amazing with models and how textures and everything looks, but I'd
love to see the map / chat / etc resized as well.
This mod is simple and is even compatible with vanilla bf2 mp.
I love the clear chat, the better chopper/tank UI (clear text/numbers) and especially
the map (flags, icons, hi-res kit images) It really makes the game feel more modern.
Any possible way we could have this implemented?

Damn, looks nice. The current maps are a bit blurry for sure.

I'd really like to see the chat somewhat resized/moved lower. Every server theres always an admin bitching about "allchat" and starts kicking people for typing to other players.

maybe move the chat all the way down to the lower left corner, because it destroy the immersion atm when the whole left side is covered in all-chat spam

On topic: Yea, that would be awesome. How much is the actual difference between vanilla/PRhud and this HD one?
You got any screen shots for comparison?

Please create disable chat option, because most of the time its taking 1/4 of my FullHD screen. Or maybe with this tool it could resized and not be all over the damn place. Its really annoying

Re: Implement HD UI
Any PR devs think it's possible to create a console command to toggle chat or even possibly increasing amount of lines in chat?
As for the HD UI, that would be really nice to have.

There's an option to put colors in chat, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to hide irrelevant chat (stuff aside from check fire, spotted, and area attack / team notifications)

Re: Implement HD UI
Would love to see this happen in the next update, I run my game on the highest settings possible and it's a shame the UI is in low quality.
Also, is it not possible to make the HUD elements drag-able? Or even someone could make an out of game program to edit the file that gets the HUD elements locations, would love a whole new level of customization.

Re: Implement HD UI
This isn't going to happen soon I believe. Pretty much the entire PR hud is custom so we would simply have to start from scratch. We have much higher priorities atm. We all want it, but right now not really feasible
And draggable isn't possible.
Also, minimaps, icons and other things are already higher quality in PR then they are in BF2. Mostly fonts would be a noticeable difference.
