Well, the easiest way is to download and install it. I have played PR on similar hardware (but 6 gb RAM), lowest settings full screen and relatively playable FPS.

I play fine on a 3GB except for Kashan CooP (needs a 64bit OS with 4GB), IMHO its more the graphics card.... keep effects low turn of dynamic light and shadow - in fact start full low and build up and see and not too high resolution and he'll be fine. i3 330M won't be a quad core or DX12 (10)....
In game console can show fps by typing renderer.drawfps 1 so he can see what affects the fps. Shut down any programs he can, try to force PR on to one core alone. I played around putting PR on a laptop with the previous model GPU GMA4500MHD for lols and it was baaaaddd but I didn't try it on low resolution just default WXGA 1366X768. Its free try it out and let us know

The effects in high action areas and when looking towards the middle of the map will be the worst.

This is still relevant to PR but remember the effects and textures are better but heavier on PCs than BF2.

Wow and I thought that a Pentium 4 3.0 GHZ could handle PR... This game is a beast! (In a good way)

i run PR on i5 2.3ghz dual core laptop intel gfx4000 8gb ram win 10,

i run on all low except textures, i dont use core designation

i find it dont look to bad cuz even when i ran it on 8x AA on my old rig i didnt give a fuck.

Running on a low end rig may alter the way u play though cuz u dont have high FPS ure guna need to be more cautious, that being said im entirely happy playing this way

final note i did notice that i was higher up the leader board with the same effort on a better rig.

BUT this game runs fine on a 200 pound/300 dollar laptop thats what i got enjoy enjoy enjoy

What resolution? - On my kids C2D 2.2 & GMA 4500 MHD equipped portable on native 1366X768 FPS is unplayable on an empty coop map, we will experiment with 800X600 for lols.
