Sorry if its already been mentioned ( Dont really feel like reading through 35 pages at this particular moment ) but i'd like to see some large tank battle maps with relatively flat ground, no helis , planes ect , kind of like dc had in 73 easting (?) and poe had in the map dafur (?). Its something that bf2 lacks atm.
^what he said
After playing bf2 for a while I'm desperately longing for some big open armor vs. armor maps (maybe some close air support in the form of attack helo's). I mean "Aberdeen/El Alamein/Tobruk style" maps. This is something that is definately lacking in bf2, no healthy mix of all types of combat.
I hate the way DICE decided that no map could feature transport helicopters without also having jets. I hardly ever want to fly nomore because of the stupid wankers who think they brought home a flight sim. I mean, how realistic is it that a black hawk would be shot down by an enemy jet? It's crazy!. I could understand if you'd want to give soldiers better RPG's for taking down helicopters, but I would like, for once, to taxi people without having to evade rockets like a madman every 10 seconds.

i think it has been mentioned somewhere. still an awesome idea though.

The way it is now is horrible imo, this excessive baseraping with planes and choppers.
I wouldnt mind if it had a respawn time of 10/15 min.
Why, Why did DICE have to do this to me. The US M11-87 IS NOT A PUMP ACTION SHOTGUN. They dont even use it anymore. I dont think they ever did. Anyways, the shotgun the US Marine Corps actually use is the Benelli M4. Yes, it is called an M4 and yes, it is semi automatic. I am a duck hunter so I know my shotguns. If know one believes me then go to Benellis web site and check it out for yourself. And if you think the M11-87 is a pump then correct your thoughts by going to Remingtons web site. Do me a favor by being realistic and giving the engineer the M4 semi auto 12 gauge 3'' shell SHOTGUN.
I would love to see more infty based maps. DC did a great job on that, with LostVillage, B. Nites, B. Edge, etc. A map where you dont always have to worry about a tank comping by to blow you up.
I also would like to see a game that isnt only British like DCX or something that isnt only US like DC. I want a mix between the two. In BF2 they have USMC vs MEC or USMC vs China, but no british.
I loved the choppers in DCF, but in BFV and BF2 they are just ****. I like when skill is involved in flying jets and choppers. That way its harder for someone thats new to kill everyone.
I think there isn't much wrong with the helo's in bf2, the fact that a gunner is vital to survival and killing armor is so much better than the DC apache where the pilot controls all the missiles and the gunner is just part of the decoration.
The flight model isn't super but the best pilots in DC are still the best pilots in bf2. And let's face it DC had to work with a flight model based on airplanes and not on helicopters.
Regarding choppers in particular and vehicles in general, I'd like to see more variety. Most MidEast countries have a mix of old Russian, and Chinese coppies when it comes to vehicles. Lets see some Mi-8's, 28's, etc.
Actually, I know that SOME modern battles have taken place with middle eastern soldiers using antique russian WWII tanks! Imagine a T-34 strolling into town

Haha, that's awesome. Then it's settled - PR will not be complete without the inclusion of at least one T-34
well, if it is, theres probably something twice as destructive... how about that MOAB bomb we have?
goes along with the good ole cold war arms limitation treaties, sure we got rid of a whole bunch of missiles, but we kept missiles that could go just as far twice as fast and drop x amount more onto the enemy
im pretty sure it was banned by the united nations but the united states never signed the agreement but said it had destroyed its napalm bomb arsenal. not fully sure though [my dad watches to much history channel ]
1. Specific classes for pilot or tank crew
2. Wobbly aiming (aiming isn't perfectly straight)
3. Terribly realistic damage
4. Terribly realistic physics for vehicles
5. If you're injured, you will slow down
6. Timed rounds of 10 minutes
7. More urban combat and a variety of objects to take cover with
8. Additional vehicles, such as the Little Bird, A-10 Thunderbolt II, M2 Bradley
9. U.S. Army
10. Aiming from hip is very inaccurate, but at close quarters it'll get the job done (unlike Red Orchestra)
