Prone fire delay
This is a feature that finally got real on 1.4 to effectively prevent players going prone and insta shooting. It is great but I think it should be increased a bit more yet, something like 0.5 secs or so.
What do you think?

It is 0.8s right now same delay as going from prone to standing.

Was the delay added due to realism or gameplay reasons?[R-DEV]Mats391 wrote:It is 0.8s right now same delay as going from prone to standing.

Re: Prone fire delay
Realism: because it try to simulate the soldier not teleporting to a prone position, as happens in BF2viirusiiseli wrote:Was the delay added due to realism or gameplay reasons?
Gameplay: Because if you shot a shotgun round in the face of your enemy, but he manage to teleport to prone position before that, you still get a few milliseconds to realize what is happening, before that you would be shooting in the air and getting shot in the foot

Why should it be longer? You can't dolphin anymore so it serves its purpose.Wing Walker wrote:Why is it not longer?
I can't remember if it was in the past or not.
Seems it would take multiple seconds to go from standing to prone, aim enough to hit close to something.
Also, multiple seconds to stand up from a prone.

Yeah, it will take a while to get it out of the system but it is a good change, one that should've been added way back.

Re: Prone fire delay
We really need a crouch fire delay now, it feels really unrealistic without.
