If it is any consolation though I didn't choose the server location, so you'd have to take that up with Wicca and FFG.

There is a big differnce between AP and EU players here Bluedrake, and I posted about it loooong ago here: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f29-pr ... dback.html

EU>US latency is not the same as AP>US latency as AP is actually further away from the USA.
Hence why Los Angeles is the sweet spot as it allows low acceptable latency to both EU and AP players.

Although I am grateful FCV is back, consideration does need to be taken into account if it wishes to remain populated outside of US/EU peek times.

I think you'll find that even with increased ping on the server that it runs alot better, has little to no rubber banding due to bad performance and keeps a much higher framerate. Now that the server is better, we can work less on maintaining server stability and work towards better gameplay.

I understand that it sounds bad. But theres no point in having a server with low ping when it crashes ever 2 rounds and lags when its up.

The majority of the population is closer to the east coast. Now that its on the east coast, its easier to seed, the servers also alot better stability wise, and its now cheaper overall for the =DRK= community to fund.

Any idea whats going on with the long mapchange time? Overall good time on the server last night, and it will only get better as people become more regular and learn to work better between squads, but that can't happen overnight. Also really nice to play some non overplayed maps.

Linux 64bit. There might be a fix for it somewhere, but I can't remember. If anyone knows feel free to point me in the right direction.

Host provider doesn't think Wacco is Wacco and turned the server off until he can prove that he is wacco. He's screamed "Do you know who I am" but they have clearly not heard of supreme commander of the potatos, el wacco.

But seriously, Server probably wont be up for a week or so.
