The Pistol

I guess the only reason why I made this topic was to throw out the idea of giving support a pistol. Because (I may be wrong) but from military shows I have seen, read, observed. SAW infantry men carry pistols since their gun has the highest chance of a jam, or overheating (again not 100% sure on this).

Automatic riflemen (SAW gunners) are not typically issued a sidearm. The gunners in a medium machinegun team (M240) are, though.
