Re: Medic Dragging Function
Great and long-awaited feature, but kind of spoiled by the annoying fact that you have to run butt-naked back to the danger to get your kit.
If it's not possible for the kit to be dragged with the body, I think it should teleport all the way, not just 10 meters.

The game just selects the closest kit in these 10m, not much we can do about thatBonvi wrote:Great and long-awaited feature, but kind of spoiled by the annoying fact that you have to run butt-naked back to the danger to get your kit.

I like the fact that you have to go and get the kit back if you have been dragged. Balances it out pretty well.

Re: Medic Dragging Function
Having played 2 more weeks with this is my thoughts:
- You either need to make dragging possible while prone or add the resuscitate back. Just to give a bodies a little nudge to better sync them up or something(medics will know what i'm talking about).
- Yes click and drag with left click would be the best and make most sense. (Perhaps right click to resuscitate?)
Still an absolutely great change.
However I am still not sure wether or not making everyone being able to drag, since this would have a HUGE impact on infantry gameplay. I cannot stress this enough. How would you do that though? should every kit have a drag function? No silly, you put it in the drop kit of course. But as I said I'm not sure if making everyone drag is a good idea yet.

Re: Medic Dragging Function
if you pull someone a tiny bit the ragdoll should fully sync up.
Main technical issue with everyone dragging is it needs a weapon slot. We are thinking of letting the unarmed kit also allow dragging but that is a bit weird.

Use a key instead weapon slot? (middle button from mouse for example).AlonTavor wrote:if you pull someone a tiny bit the ragdoll should fully sync up.

AFAIK it needs to be a weapon, hence needs to use a slot.Danesh_italiano wrote:Use a key instead weapon slot? (middle button from mouse for example).

Re: Medic Dragging Function
Weapon slot is required for animations (and disabling a weapon).
Biggest issue is we cannot control the animation if it does not have a dedicated weapon slot, and we cannot prevent the animation from playing when there's no body to drag (That's why we force switch weapon).
Thinking of dragging while prone (or even standing for extra speed, costing stamina).

Re: Medic Dragging Function
I've also now had situations where I have a perfectly viable revive while prone but I cannot unstick the body without crouching and I cannot crouch because I will get shot.sweedensniiperr wrote:Having played 2 more weeks with this is my thoughts:

If resus can't come back some kind of prone dragging would be good, even if it costs way more stamina or whatever.

Prone dragging would be good to have. Sometimes the old resuscitate was safer to use than to unstick with the dragging and exposing yourself. Slowing the prone drag would be ncie but that may be out of limit to implement
No, it works really good the way it is. My suggestion would be: if it's not in game yet, could maybe "unarmed" people drag bodies? That way you could drop your kit, drag a body, then equip your kit again. This idea sounds very balanced because you cant use weapons or run away because you need your old kit back again.

We also want to do prone dragging, its very useful in trenches. Just need someone to do animations for it.
Still thinking about unarmed dragging + crate dragging.

One could go the "ins sapper" way, and have the "dragging weapon" on slot 9.AlonTavor wrote:Weapon slot is required for animations (and disabling a weapon).

Get somebody geared up properly according to this Marine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOn4awyCNZkAlonTavor wrote:We also want to do prone dragging, its very useful in trenches. Just need someone to do animations for it.

Remove all the rattle from the gear with duct tape etc.. Then record sounds of dragging pure Cordura plate carrier/pouches with gear in it.. I would like to know when somebody i killed is being dragged away because i look at dude just killed on corner then next he is gone. I should hear something heavy sliding
1 Man per piece of cover, Move cover to cover. In view of each other to save each other by shooting, distraction, division of enemy attention and ammo. 1 man hit per RPG/tank shell/mortar spread formation full time. Edge of cap zone. Use camouflage, police up each others exposure, no man seen sticking out. Scan aggressively with eyes and ears for anything suspect, even for birds disturbed to fly out of trees

Big bump needed! Is the prone dragging coming anytime soon? And the crate dragging would be awesome small crates more fast big crates slow and cost lot of stamina
Supporting this game since 0.6 Never gonna give up!
