How the HUD should look in PRM.
Okay so the HUD is in desperate need of some tweaking to make it more minimalistic cause most of the time I find it to be VERY distracting due to a lot of **** flying across the screen.
Sometimes I even find my self getting really stressed because of all the stuff on the HUD, so therefore I figured I would make an example on how the HUD should look.
I don't think there's much need for me to explain it because the image speaks mostly for it self.
One thing I might need to comment on is compass you see in the middel of the screen, this would obiously be something that is toggled, NOT a constant image on the screen ofcourse.
DISCUSS!

Well I never said that THAT compass would be used, it's just the the best compass pic I could find, or would you like to have a sailors compass from 1886?Cerberus wrote:I despise the compass

It's gay. Seriously I've been playing a long time without it now and I get a long just fine, people need to stop bitching about I WANT MY INSTA-RADAR everytime it is suggested that it should be removed.'[3rd wrote:Sonders']but what about the minimap, i like the minimap![]()
Keeping the minimap ruins so much gameplay, imersion, FOV, skill of navigation ( hardly requierd in bf2), a better reason to use VOIP and so on.

Are you not reading?!?! One of the main reasons for removing the minimap is FOV, putting a compass there would ruin half the point of removing the minimap!V3N0N_br wrote:if gonna put a compass, it's gotta be where the minimap is right now so it won't ruin your view

I understand that, this not a IT MUST LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THIS thing, it's just something I made for refferance on how to make the HUD more minimalistic.'[R-DEV wrote:e-Gor']And what about vehicle icons, mag count, CP status, health bar for heals, etc? A redesign is always harder than you might think, because what's on the screen is different at different times, and nothing can conflict with any other part of the hud.

I don't really know if such a thing can be toggable.Guerra norte wrote:Are you not reading?!?! One of the main reasons for removing the minimap is FOV, putting a compass there would ruin half the point of removing the minimap!

Maybe showing up when you press the M key yeah, but just appearing on the screen (only the compass) I think it's not possible.
Anyways, the player icon will work like a compass since it has that triangular form and the black extremity is the direction you are facing. It works like a compass, but of course you will be more lazy by using it than the compass

WTF? NO! If you're driving a vehicle and it's taking fire you're not going to know what state the vehicle is in, all you're gonna see and hear is the bullets hitting, engine smoking, windows getting blown out, wheels popping etc. You are not going to be aware of what critical parts on the vehicle is damaged until you get out and investigate.Valtasar wrote:In realism you know the condition of youre vehicle
