Tking MadTommy 3 times in quick succession a few weeks ago again on Muttrah, I was having a nervous, can't see anything properly kind of game. He was very magnanimous about it though and only laughed at me for about 5 minutes![]()

The knife is one powerful asset is used correctly, i cant think how many times i have knifed a trooper only a couple of feet behind his buddy and he doesnt notice. But i dont need to tell you eh.'[R-CON wrote:fuzzhead']hehhehehe awesome madtommy!!! yea i love those knife kills, its great when you get the jump on the enemy and silently dispatch an entire squad while your buddies keep their heads down!
But you notice if you knife a squad member using VoIP, you had better pull your weapon!
And i know medics cant revive knife kills, but there sure do notice when their whole squad dies!!

Littlebird helicopter making a flying pass manoeuvre over allied rubber ducky landing craft.
Both Littlebird and landing craft nicely populated.
I fire my RPG from the shoreline….looooong range **** shoot, no chance of hiting.
Hits!
Littlebird goes BOOM over landing craft…
Landing craft caught in explosion and debris of Littlebird…goes BOOM
My Kill score goes BOOM through the roof….

Valiant UK troops assualting the Hills of Hamyong.
I carefully snipe two guys out of the radio bunker with my trusty SA80 and make my way to the crest.
Take out another guy hiding behind the bunker and move towards the South flank flag.
I hear firing from one of the middle bunkers and stealthily creep in.
PLA spec-ops is banging away at targets downslope so I take out my knife and move up to him. When I was 2 feet away, I lag for 8 seconds, total freeze and then unfreeze to see a timer on the roof of the bunker.
Moral of the story, ....just shoot them.

And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

my FAV moment was :
When all 4 blackhawks made a left turn while the 4 LBS hovered steady
, that lookes so damn awsome.
And also, i joined the server and i had no clue what we was doing, and we was live lol, i was so lost, i was told to get ina hummer and drive 3rd in the convoy line
one of the most confusing times of my life!
But i think the slo mo Jump was the best. Noooooooooooo0000ooo000oooo..

It would be when I was flying the Black Hawk on (I don't remeber) I lost control after taking some small arms fire (ok I sneezed pushed down on the joystick and was going too fast) I clicked on "Bail Out" 5 times. Then I plummeted to my death, BUT I hit a jeep that was covering the flag. The 2 Spec Ops soldiers that managed to bail out of the chopper took the flag.

Ahh, Mao Valley earlier tonight:
I was playing as U.S. and tasked with defending the supply drop CP with the five other members of my squad and probably another squad's worth of guys hanging around and taking up perimeter positions. (for any that don't know, as long as there's enough of you, Supply Drop CP is a dream to defend as the rear is sheltered by mountains and out of bounds area.) I was one of two medics at the CP so took a nice central location in a hut to the rear.
We had a SAW watching the right flank in position behind a rock with spec ops acting as spotter and second medic in the bunker manning the MG, another two spec ops in the Left flank tower, the commander with me in the hut and about four guys along the perimeter wall.
It was quiet for a little while until BANG! there was an explosion close to the right flank. The SAW and bunker MG both opened up and guys got on the radio: "Contact right side, multiple hostiles!"
A couple from the wall moved over to take a look. The chinese were trying to probe the right flank. A gun battle ensued on the right for a couple of minutes but all others kept watch on their positions as the right was able to hold its own. The firing and explosions died down. We had taken no casualties.
A minute later and a small patrol was organised to go out and secure the valley from where the attack was launched. I think 4 marines from our small defending force were sent out. They left and the rest of us stayed. Within a minute or so they'd made contact with what I presume was a Chinese squad leader and his squad respawning and reinforcing him. All we could do was listen to the gun battle further down in the valley to right. Our patrol did their work well though, cleared the valley of all surviving Chinese and headed back in. I think they only lost one guy.
So, it was quiet again. Everyone was back in positition waiting for the next attack. The quiet didn't last long though. Bursts of gunfire erupted from the left tower. The spec ops had made contact.
"They're trying to probe the left!"
Again, a couple of guys went over to help out the left flank and I rushed over a couple of times to revive, then took injured back to the hut and healed them. After a few minutes the chinese attack was showing no sign of weakness. They were getting closer. Smoke and 203s were coming in and visibilty was poor.
Because of this the tower was soon over run and the chinese broke through. From my position in the hut I saw 2 chinese try and make a run from the tower along the north facing perimeter wall. I opened up and they fell. The surviving marines from the left had fallen back to my position in the hut and were all directing their fire towards the captured tower. It was close quarters, I could hear the chinese shouting. Every now and again one or two would become visible through the smoke and we'd open up. This desperate battle went on for another four minutes or so until it simply faded out to a couple of bursts from an AK and then one from an M16.
The marines had taken back the tower and cleared the perimeter. It was over. In the distance I could hear the blades of a chopper. I looked up, above the tree line but couldn't see anything. Then with all it's beauty, just like you see in the movies, the silhouete (spelling?) of a blackhawk glided across from right to left infront of the CP, with the sound of the blades getting louder and louder as he approached and fading off as he passed. It was momentous, he was heading over to the next Chinese CP to counter attack no doubt. Sure enough, within seconds we could all hear the miniguns blazing in the distance.
This was the best modern, computorised interpretation of what little I know of 'Nam I've experienced in a computer game. There is no contest and I'd like to thank the DEVS, founders and fellow supporters of this glorious mod for it.
Thankyou!

A new favourite moment: Operation Ghost Train, on the Chinese Side. Two squads at the foot bridge, but the British have taken up good defensive positions. A grenadier from the squad I'm in fires two smokes at the other side of the footbridge, and three spec ops try to run the gauntlet...until a British support gunner opens up from somewhere amongst the foiliage and cuts them down in a second or two. At this point, we dig in, with the two squad leaders falling back to allow people to respawn to them, and two medics racing around trying to keep people alive. After a while, a small three man squad arrives, directed to our position by the commander. While we keep the enemy busy, they quickly cross the river to the left of our position, and sneak round until the British are between them and us. The squad leaders crawl a bit closer, almost everyone reloads as a support gunner on our side does his best to keep the British under fire, until all of a sudden, our men on the other side open fire on the British. A couple of smokes are thrown at the footbridge, and as almost everyone opens fire on the enemy position, trying to avoid hitting our own men, another group of three spec ops is sent across. This time they make it, and as they engage the British alongside the men we already had on that side, more of us dash across. Within a minute, the battle is over. Ammunition is handed out, the wounded are healed, and then we move out in a loose line towards the North Bridge. There was still more killing to be done...

Mine would have to be my first time playing with fuzzhead and AtlantaFalcons.
We were playing SOBJ game mode in 0.32 on Mashtuur, and we were the only squad doing any work, other squad leaders were scattered about elsewhere. We got to the last objective, the UAV trailer, and got desperate. Everyone in the squad went engineer, each placing a C4 on the front of the LB. The LB flew to HALO altitude, and dove at the enemy UAV trailer. Despite the three .50cals there, we got to it and I detonated the C4, thus jihading it.
I also enjoyed playing ambushes on Road to Kyongan'Ni with fuzzhead. Haven't seen fuzzhead around much now...

There are so many moments, I don't know where to start...
OK, here's one: Playing as sniper on Hills of Hamgyong. A Chinese soldier just standing upright on the very top of the ridge. Just standing there, looking down into the valley below. No cover, nothing. An easy kill, and all the Chinese kept their heads down afterwards.
And another one: Providing covering fire for my squadmates on Jalalabad as we advance from cover to cover. Firing a smoke grenade in the middle of the open ground between two huts. Then firing bursts from my M16 in the general direction of the incoming MEC fire while squadmates move across the open ground, using the smoke as cover. A click. Mag's empty. My squadleader's voce over VOIP: "PlaCiD, move!" I do as I'm told, sprinting into the open, reloading as I run. The smoke's fading. Firing from my front and behind me. My squadmates' covering fire. I can hear the snaps of MEC 7.62 bullets passing close. I dive for cover, and bullets ricochet of the stone wall of the building I land behind. Tapping the forward assist, I take position again, firing single shots back at the hidden enemies.
God, that was a good round.

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

I was playing as a sniper on Zatar wetlands and my position was on one of the oil platforms. I was watching 2 squads of guys moving towards the flag I was near. 1 squad moved in to take the flag while the other squad moved to the next flag. I popped all 6 guys at the flag I was near then I proceeded to take out the next squad of guys. I took out 2 guys and I scoped in a 3rd and it was a sniper aswell. We were looking at eachother for a good 1/2 second before I fired and killed him. It totally reminded me of the sniper scene in SPR. After that incident happened the sniper respawned on his SL and picked me off as I was looking through the binocs.
