Now I know this doesn't apply to all of you, but there are just a few things that I hate about the pr players. Though probably most who view this forum are not like this, because to my understanding noobs don't read forums, they are too busy killing people. But here is some things that players should think about. I think if people would read this and maybe even learn something this mod could become more fun to play for everyone.
But to the subject
Spawncamping
Why? Do people really enjoy getting free kills so much? To me it brings very little satisfaction to shoot someone who spawned 0.2 seconds ago. They have no way of defending themselves. Overall this ruins a lot of rounds.
Of course you might have to kill someone who just spawned when you are taking a flag or covering guys who are taking flags, but to see a lot of people camping inside uncappable spawns is just plain wrong)
M4 whoring
Yes it is the best weapon in the game right now. Does it mean that it's the only weapon you can use? I see very few medics/riflemen/at who would be a huge help to their team. Instead of those kits I see usually about 50% of the US team being spec ops. Now I take it this is just to get your precious k/d ratio up? Why can't people understand that this mod is supposed to be about teamwork, not your k/d ratio.
medics, ohh the medics
One question here. Why do I see so many medics just run right past me/over me while I'm there critically wounded lying on the ground calling for a medic?
When I'm medic the only thing I do is revive/heal people, last night on iGi I had my medic pack on my hands instead of the m16 for over 50% of the round. Yeah, I had 3 kills and 12 deaths in the end, but I revived about 20 people that round & got about 10 healing points. So I suggest that ALL medics would start doing their job, and this also applies to riflemen because too many times I've been using one of my last mags and asking for some ammo just to see a rifleman walk right past me without throwing an ammo bag.
voip anyone?
When I started playing this mod (I think it was version 0.2 or something like that back then) there were a lot of people using voip. Now a lot of the time I have to join a squad "teamwork" or "voip" or something like that to hear anyone using the voip function. But wait, it gets worse, way worse. 2 nights ago on iGi (I think) I just joined to the server. Looked up and saw a squad called "voip", so I join there, and no one says a word. Ask the SL if he is gonna open his mouth or not, but don't get a reply. Then I decided to leave the squad. And to my pleasant surprise I saw a squad called "voip2" I was like thank you god, thank you. So I join it, ask whats the plan. And total silence...
So do you really need to make a squad called voip if you are not going to use voip at all?
thanks
Now I'm glad there are still quite a lot of people who do this. Since sometimes when I revive someone he just runs away. (doesn't even want to be healed to full health) I'm like "I just ran through 2 streets full of flying bullets to save your ***, and I don't even get a thanks?" Myself, everytime someone revives me, even if it ends up so that before I can even get up someone shoots me I still say thanks. Same goes for healing people.
tk punishing
Now punishing is a good system if used correctly. The thing that pisses me off is that there are a lot of people who punish from every single teamkill. Like yesterday I was playing and one of our flags turned grey. So I turned there and used my granade launcher. Killed 2 enemies and 1 friendly, and even before I could say sorry I was punished. Whats the point in that?
What I do when I get teamkilled is, if it's clearly intentional, or just plain idiotic then I punish. If I have no idea how/why I was tk'd I wait for a moment. If he says he is sorry, I forgive, if he doesn't then I'll usually punish him. But if I can see that it's an accident (like someone throwing a grenade and it hits a tree/door/window frame or I'm right next to an enemy I forgive every single time because he didn't mean to kill me.
So I guess that's it.
I just hope that I managed to convert atleast 1 guy from worshipping his k/d ratio to helping his teammates. And I'm sorry if there are some spelling mistakes or stuff like that, I'm too tired to check for them.
