We real life engineers can do anything.

Infact, thismorning i made myself a cup of coffee while i was reading the newspaper and pretending to be interested in what some lab assistant dude did this weekend.

While in fact you were planning a secret scheme to capture all the monkies in the universe and train them to invade Kuwait. With science!

mechanical bridges

Post by Stigger »

You know, deploying moveable bridges on specific maps could actually boost the reality and gameplay of our mod.
Im very interested in that idea indeed. (bridging gaps in the terrain to open up new assault routes).
Plus it would be great to model and animate these machines!. =D

(sorry if im moving away from the point of original post a little)

In the world of engineering, that's called "high productivity."

Lol that actually made me giggle for a good 10 seconds, well done Dre! Yes I agree with Stigger on this, AVLB's would make for some interesting games...

Some other related discussion in another thread:

I'd definitely like to see the engineers place wire obstacles.

Mmm, AVLB goodness. I think it would be great to see. Then having it be destructible would be pretty cool too. Just imagine a tank crossing a large gap with a 100 foot valley below, then all of a sudden while your in the middle of crossing BOOM, it splits in half and the tank plummits into the valley.

You could have that mobile bridge layer thingy that the US has (no idea what it is called)

it looks like a tank sorta, excpet no turret, it has a like 100 foot long bridge that is one big piece folded up, and it can set it down over small ravines and stuff.
