mechanical bridges
You know, deploying moveable bridges on specific maps could actually boost the reality and gameplay of our mod.
Im very interested in that idea indeed. (bridging gaps in the terrain to open up new assault routes).
Plus it would be great to model and animate these machines!. =D
(sorry if im moving away from the point of original post a little)

Mmm, AVLB goodness. I think it would be great to see. Then having it be destructible would be pretty cool too. Just imagine a tank crossing a large gap with a 100 foot valley below, then all of a sudden while your in the middle of crossing BOOM, it splits in half and the tank plummits into the valley.
