In a sense, it wasn't ultra realistic, but at the same time, it was because the game simulates basic concepts of war and real life, so taking that away just so someone doesn't play the class as much which they will anyway is kind of senseless IMO.
Also takes away the "special forces" part of the spec ops class as well and makes the game kind of one dimensional.
No parachutes!

I belive that M4 has no recoil and hight fire rate, meanwhile his opposite AKSU has a big recoil and lower fire rate...that is true in reality too but 'cause the first rifle shoot 5.56 and second one 7.65...but a single shot of 7.65 should be most dangerous than a 5.56.
Anyway...the M4 should have more recoil and more hit 4 kill someone.
About parachute a good idea will be use ropes for all the classes from the elicopters,so you can use rope 4 leave soldiers in hight roof or take land...more slowly and more dangerous for soldiers and choppers...in that way any team will be do with any classes of soldiers.
Sorry 4 my English.

In reply to the person asking for an M4 with iron sights:
Iron sights just are not used anymore in our modern military. Most major armies use some variation of the red dot sight. They allow for quicker target aquisition and better accuracy (your not having to worry about sight picture).
The pointman idea seems a bit silly and superfulous(I'm sure I spelled that wrong). Most of the time the guy on point is equipped no different from the majority of the squad. You don't get a super gun, or better body armor because your on point lol.
Also the M4 has more recoil than the M16. It seems that in this version they gave the M4 the recoil of a submachine gun. Not that it bothers me. It's a game. The M4 or the amount of guys who go spec ops has never effected me or my gameplay. If you want to talk about a kit that needs some attention, I'd say it would be the resupply kit (rifleman). I don't know what the solution would be, but I hardly see people using this kit. I mean plenty of guys go medic (though most are too stupid to revive you, or pick up your kit to revivie you), and the other kits seemed to be used well. There is just no value to being the resupply guy. Most people don't live long enough to need it. When you do, just pick up a dead soldiers kit. Maybe there is something else we could do to seperate the supply guy from the rest of the pack.

I lilke the idea of "fast roping" air assault style. However I'm not sure if it would be possible to make it reality in game. I'm sure coding that would be no walk in the park. By the way, you would not be fast roping off the little bird, so don't even think about that. That would only be an option out of the larger choppers like the Blackhark. The little bird is still gonna have to get close to the ground for the soldier to disembark.

No it's not possible. It's suggested like once a week.

I figured as much. It would be a nightmare. Here you have this platform the files around the map in space. Then you want objects to throw down flexible lines which would have to dangle about to reflect real physics. Then you want these objects to slide down the flexible lines. I tell you what, it would make for interesting vids. I mean think about it, a blackhawk with 4 guys dangling from ropes. What if the the blackhawk would attempt to do a barrel roll? lol You would look like some sort of wacky weed whacker.

My preference as always is to have the spec ops be a spec ops - a SOE infantry soldier embedded or returned into a regular infantry squad. With superior marksmanship an important requirement for elite troops it would make sense to offer the spec ops a realistic role in a squad - specialising as a close quarters combat rifleman. With a suppressed fully automatic carbine, silenced pistol and room clearing explosives such as flashbangs, you have a class that fills the short range void that currently exists with the mulititude of medium range riflemen and long range requestable kits

Wouldn't really need a suppressed carbine, would you? I'd think that would be more for if he was doing deep recon work.
Which could potentially be a serperate requestable kit.

Now that would be a cool idea. I'd like to see one or two more requestable kits added. That is probably one of my favorite changes PR made to BF2. No more teams made up of 30 snipers lol.JP*wasteland.soldier wrote:Wouldn't really need a suppressed carbine, would you? I'd think that would be more for if he was doing deep recon work.
