Just a few points;

The kit limiting is cool and one effect of it is that precious kits have become sought after commodities with people risking their skins to get a sniper kit off a fallen soldier. I as I lay dying I watched 3 different guys get possession of the sniper kit that had been taken from me, which I had taken from a guy on my own side which was an enemy sniper kit. So that's 6 guys recycling a sniper kit. Pretty cool eh?
And when you get that sniper kit, man you really want to hold onto it, because it's precious, so you really think harder and play better. I grabbed that kit, and before I fell, I went on a terrible killing spree, smoking 9 guys in about a minute and a half, shooting me right up from the basement to #1 in the standings. That was fun.

The tank smoke blast is VERY cool Me likey.

Rally points are good.


That British Land Rover is beautiful. Good work.


My only criticism? .5 isn't out yet. We're all anxiously awaiting it.

Cuz it's gonna come out next week with bugs :D

We *think* we have fixed the last major bug, we have a couple of annoying ones and literally hundreds of small issues we could address.

But at this point it's coming out next week. That could change, but I ain't seeing nothn' that leads me to believe it will change.

A bit disapointed that the AH-64 didn`t make the cut this time, but no worries; the "new and improved" AH-1Z will keep me busy until 0.6! :twisted:

agreed! I start to laugh like a maniac when I pick up an enemy sniper kit, because I know that is one less sniper on their team I have to worry about. Even if I don't really need it, I stil keep the kit and make the best out of it, just so they are all "WTF WHERES MY SNIPER KITZ!"

One of my favorite things about .5 is going to be a toned down Heavy AT kit. No more *soldiers taking a nap* "hey, uhhmmm wake up, there's uhh a tank"
"huh! wha? oh, one of them, ok... lemme grab the heavy AT kit..."
*destroys tank instantly*
"got em?"
"yup"
*falls back asleep*

Now if oyu have a heavy AT kit you are going to want to get on a roof or wait for the tank to pass you so you can take it out in one hit =)

I though that when you "steal" a sniper (or any other limited) kit from enemy, it is not counted to their max number of available kits. Which means, that your team has max-number-of-sniper-kits+1 and enemy has unchanged max-number-of-sniper-kits.

But it would be fantastic if you would be able to prevent them in getting another kit after you stole it from them.

I like kit limiting very much, but usually it is preventing me in getting any limited kit, becouse verifying files at the start of each map is taking me longer and others simply get it before me.
So those with faster HW are more lucky. Maybe it could be solved with adding 10s delay until anyone can get such kit (if it is possible). Or maybe it will be solved with new limited kit restriction system

Im SOOOO glad its limited and the changes to the weapons. It means that instead of their being 11snipers a side (like any current map, except street, with the IEDs on it). Also, stops prone spammers because they cant handle the recoil. Means that only players who take the time out to get better at something are able to use it (Like being specificly trained in RL)

I've read the Wiki and have some Q's for the Dev's

-Will you need pilot kits to use helicopter weapons (ie Cobra gunner, Black Hawk door gunners)?
-Where can you spawn a pilot/crew kit? Will you have to run back to the flag then run to the aircraft and hope nobody beats you and you get stuck with a useless kit?
-What weapons for squad leader kit? Binos? More info please
-I don't see any mention of the changed revive health level
-Any chance of getting a better indicator of how hurt your health level is? (I hate jumping off a low wall and suddenly being critical).
-I don't see mention of the "Dome of Death" around uncappables such as AlBasrah
-I don't see mention of repairs to know map issues such as the low res bug in EJOD and lag in AlBasrah
-I don't see a mention of the zoom being added to helo's weapons.

Its worse than that...

I think the kit limiting is great, but I wish there was a way to really punish kit TKr's. I was just playing and saw several people TK for sniper kits right at the start of the round. I think one kit changed hands 3 times thanks to TK's.

Also in this catagory, any chance to have a "Tard" punish? I had a guy push me off of the roof twice so he wouldn't get a TK then run down and steal my kit.

for the cobra gunner yes for sure, but i aint 100% sure on the door gunners for the black hawks...

you can request the kit at the aircraft

soflam (spec opps binocs with range finder), pickup smoke flare thingy, and rally points.

Its been fixed, I did fix the ejod bug for 0.4 but it was never put into the build for some reason, was just one of thous things that got lost.

its been added for the gunner.
