Love the old Gulf War 1 choc chip pattern, and its much more suitable for the MEC environments than the Russian Kamysh camo they have now.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!

I turned my textures and texture filtering to high, and turned on AAx2Figisaacnewton wrote:those images look high quality. high gfx.
surprisingly, it ran smoothly. hmm, I've been playing all this time with my settings lower then needed
For the more urban version, I am thinking replacing the darker desert colour with a grey.
For the woodland version, I think the original, regular skin, will be fine. I'll just edit it some, replacing the desert colour with a green, and lightening the browns.

Thats not how it works. Open the skin files and see. It is much more complex then simple making a pattern.Kindros wrote:Its pretty easy to make your own camo's in PS. I made this one in about 5mins flat.

You can even do the new urban tech camo with the pixelation if you really wanted to.

[old link removed]
Download link for those interested.
Note, use at your own risk, those who don't know how to use this probably shouldn't.
In PR objects_client.zip,
goto soldiers, add mec directory, add textures folder inside that, add file
note: i'm not sure how it'll screw with PB, so do it in your test directory

Ok, in my honest opinion, the colour of the uniform is better than MEC's one for desert combat. Thats for sure. But still it feels like something is missing you know, it's not really seeming like the edges of the pockets and stuff are not correctly adjusted. Maybe you could just darken or enlighten a little bit the areas where the clothing doesn't stay so tight to the body. Same thing for the knee pads. Make they look like something solid, cause they still look a little bit like a drawing on the clothing.
Hope you take this constructive criticism and improve it a lot more, cause if you do it'll be much better

Yes, I was thinking the same things as you. I'm working on it right now.V3N0N_br wrote:edit>

Now I'd say this looks better. Gonna check it in game, but just for the screenshots it looks improved. Like I said, haven't seen ingame by myself, but I still think you gotta make the arm sleeves more visible. Now the rest looks real amazing and will do much better in maps like EJOD Desert than the brown shiny uniform
.
